The Pink Salmon Festival is today. Be sure to check it out! We are. We've missed it other years, but not this time, we are really excited about it.

Join us for the celebration of the return of the pinks!

With returns of 17.5 million pink salmon projected to return to the Fraser River in August, the second biennial Pink Salmon Festival will serve up delicious complimentary pink salmon to the public and promote pink salmon as a sustainable seafood choice. Members of the public will be treated to barbecued salmon samplings donated by Canfisco and prepared by premier Vancouver chefs including C Restaurant executive chef Robert Clark. The event will also have live music by Vancouver bluegrass band "Redgrass", informative demonstrations and activities for kids.

The festival is being underwritten by corporate sponsor Gold Seal – Canfisco, who has donated 3,500 pounds of pink salmon. Additional sponsors include Port Metro Vancouver, HSBC, Vancouver Courier and Rebel Communications.
