💌 A Love Letter to Mother Earth – On Friday the 13th
Dear Mother Earth,
Today is strange and charged —
The skies are stirred by solar winds,
The world trembles with protest and fear,
And somewhere, war drums beat again.
It’s Friday the 13th — a day that many whisper about —
but for me, it’s a day to speak my heart clearly.
I may be unhoused, but I am not without love.
I may not have walls of my own,
but I have food to eat, a place to rest my head,
and family and friends who open their hearts to me.
And that — that is everything.
While I see the world spiraling in excess —
while some indulge in opulence,
drenched in distraction and forgetting others suffer —
I feel the ache of imbalance.
But I do not let it harden me.
Instead, I offer this letter — this prayer.
🌍 I pray for peace.
Not just the silence between bombings,
but true peace — rooted in justice, in equality,
in respect for all life — human, animal, plant, and spirit.
🕊️ I pray that the fear and rage of this moment
be transmuted into love, courage, and clarity.
🔥 May this solar storm electrify our hearts,
not our weapons.
May the protest cries echo not in violence,
but in transformation.
May this “parade” of power be seen for what it is —
a distraction from truth,
unless we reclaim it, reshape it, rise above it.
💧 I pray for the water protectors, the truth tellers,
the mothers, the elders, the children,
and every single creature struggling
beneath the weight of greed.
Dear Earth,
You are sacred.
Your trees, your oceans, your skies, your bees,
your birds, your bears, your coral, your wildflowers —
they are not ours to own, but to honor.
I am grateful for every sunrise I get to witness.
For every warm cup of tea I’m offered.
For every cat who curls beside me on stormy nights.
For every meal shared.
For every kindness in this harsh world.
I may be tired.
I may be scared.
But I still believe in the power of love.
And on this wild day —
Friday the 13th,
with solar winds sweeping the sky,
and unrest shaking the ground —
I choose to root myself in love.
For you, Mother Earth.
For all of us.
With all my heart,
💗
