So I was on Facebook this morning and on Global they posted this question yesterday but the conversation was still going?

Your thoughts: Do gun range ads on Canada Line have violent overtones? - http://ow.ly/mqfhH
Now I don't want to focus on that, as that was that conversation but I did post a couple of videos that I asked people to watch. And there is something VERY interesting that came to mind when I re-watched this video.  Starting at  7:10 in the video.

Please watch and think very carefully as he talks about the "collective negativity" and "collective consciousness".  There has been so much frustration and anger over the Tar Sands and the Pipeline.

Did this collective negative energy cause the flooding?  Listen to what Deepak Chopra says here, it really made me think.

Here's the second one.

Huge Protest in Brazil. Please Share as Mainstream Media is ignoring it!

Looks like there's hope for change in Brazil...people spoke and the president is listening. Keep praying to help them.

Update: June 18/2013

Brazilian President backs massive protests, says demands are legitimate

Tonight in Brazil the people are rising up and speaking out. I've been asked to share this as the mainstream media is not covering it. Let's get the word out there and help the people of Brazil have a better future.

Another friend shared this:
A personal note: I'm following the events in Brazil with great interest. I love Brazil, I have family and friends there, and I am a big supporter of the Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT), which has pulled millions out of poverty and has made Brazil a major global player. However, one of the main reasons I no longer live there is because the cost of living became overwhelming. Brazil has one of the highest tax rates in the world, yet it is poorly administered. Services like public transportation cost as much as they do in North America or Europe and many basic products like food, clothing, etc. cost as much as 40% more than they do in the U.S. Yet the minimum wage is barely over U.S. $300 dollars a month, so there is a huge discrepancy between income and the cost of living. While Brazil's economy has grown astronomically on a macro level, the people are squeezed by rising inflation, outrageously high prices and poor infrastructure. My thoughts and hopes are with you, o povo brasileiro.

Had an awesome time at the 38th Annual Pacific Rim Kite Festival in Vanier Park, Kitsilano in Vancouver BC today. Next year you should make a plan to go. Always alot of fun for everyone of all ages.

The Teddy Bear Drop is alway HUGE FUN!! They put the Teddy Bear way up high on a Big Kite and then let him or her go...s/he is wearing a parachute and a child is waiting below. The kids run and catch the bear and get to keep it.

It's all graciously donated by the BC Kitefliers Assocation. You can visit their website here.  http://bcka.bc.ca/38th-annual-pacific-rim-kite-festival/

  Here's a video I made this year.

and 2012 the 37th Pacific Rim Kite Festival

Videos from a few years back when Penny was there, this is before I knew how to use Moviemaker, so they are not long. I need to go thru my storage to find them and make them into there own little video.

Let's Grow a Food Forest like Seattle

When I was a little girl, my mom and dad had a little hobby farm out in Surrey. My dad was raised on a farm and my mom's mom (my grandma) had an awesome green thumb so between the two they made an wonderful team.

We had rabbits, chickens, ducks, a big pig that had piglets, there was a garden with vegetables and there fruit trees of cherry, plum, peach and apple...maybe more I was little and don't remember it all.

Now we all know about the GMO's and Monsanto and the cost of food is outrageous and trying to buy organic is expensive...

But we live in a big city and there is lots of park land and schoolyards. It's time to convert some of that space and grow gardens and a food forest.

Seattle just came up with this idea and they are going to try...so why don't we. I have seen lots of community gardens, but everyone has their own little plot and no one is allowed to touch it.  If we just think on a higher level, sort of like when the blackberries are in season...there's plenty for everyone.

My dream is that we start Edible Schoolyards and each day kids go into the garden or food forest and work, gather, harvest, cook, store food so that we all have this knowledge, that we all share and we all have enough healthy food to eat....the way God intended.

Please share this widely, talk to your school, teachers, principal, schoolboard, the mayor, Vancouver Parks board, who can we get on board to start making this all a reality.

Seattle's Food Forest

"Forget meadows. The city’s new park will be filled with edible plants, and everything from pears to herbs will be free for the taking.

Seattle’s vision of an urban food oasis is going forward. A seven-acre plot of land in the city’s Beacon Hill neighborhood will be planted with hundreds of different kinds of edibles: walnut and chestnut trees; blueberry and raspberry bushes; fruit trees, including apples and pears; exotics like pineapple, yuzu citrus, guava, persimmons, honeyberries, and lingonberries; herbs; and more. All will be available for public plucking to anyone who wanders into the city’s first food forest. Read more here  "http://www.expressionoftruth.com/2013/06/its-not-fairytale-seattle-to-build.html

I have seen some beautiful community gardens but we need something on a much larger scale that can really be shared with the community.

Here's a few videos of community gardens we've visited and gardens where we went Wwoofing last year.
