In Solidarity with Sacred Stone Camp - North Dakota

"People arrested, construction moving ahead as police protect the oil company! "  Shame!! Shame!!


Hau we are the Inyan wakankagapi otip-Sacred Stone Camp from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.   We have partnership with the Oectc  Sakowin- Seven Council Fires, Indians and Cowboys and anyone who was to stand with us against the Dakota Access Pipeline.

This pipeline will cross the Missouri River and Cannon Ball River which is the life line to many tribes and non native, when this pipeline leaks it will destroy the water and land.  Water is life ! So this pipeline is along the Missouri River and the KL pipeline was along the Ogall aquifer both are important to save.

We are asking for financial support for water-propane - food and blankets  for the camp.  This is a prayer camp movement to save our sacred land and water and has been entirely supported by the people and the campers. We are in great appreciation for all you contributions....Wopila lila tanka-- we are deeply grateful for you contributions thank you!

Archaeological evidence indicates that the Dakota (Sioux) occupied what is now western Ontario and eastern Manitoba prior to 1200 AD, and western Manitoba and eastern Saskatchewan prior to 900 AD. North Dakota’s Oil Boom Brings Damage Along With Prosperity
"The downside is waste — lots of it. Companies produce millions of gallons of salty, chemical-infused wastewater, known as brine, as part of drilling and fracking each well. Drillers are supposed to inject this material thousands of feet underground into disposal wells, but some of it isn't making it that far.

According to data obtained by ProPublica, oil companies in North Dakota reported more than 1,000 accidental releases of oil, drilling wastewater or other fluids in 2011, about as many as in the previous two years combined. Many more illicit releases went unreported, state regulators acknowledge, when companies dumped truckloads of toxic fluid along the road or drained waste pits illegally."

The DAPL is a proposed crude pipeline which crosses treaty territories, threatening the Missouri River, impacting immediately Cannonball, ND of the SRST

The irony of this...corporations polluting the water supply for millions and they are suing the protesters.

"Developers of a $3.8 billion, four-state oil pipeline are asking a federal judge to order protesters in North Dakota to stop interfering with the project."

North Dakota Law Enforcement Just Moved Into A Native American Pipeline Protest
"An oil pipeline poised to run through four Midwestern states may have all the permits it needs for construction, but Native Americans and Iowa landowners facing eminent domain continue to fight the Bakken pipeline with protests and court injunctions.

On Thursday, Sioux tribe members continued for a second day to block workers at a Bakken pipeline construction site near where the Cannonball and Missouri rivers meet, prompting law enforcement to move in. This is an escalation from months of “spirit camp” protests — camps where tribe members pray as a group for hours at a time."

Tomorrow can we start a prayer chain from sunrise to sunset every hour on the hour? Please pray for the water and land and protection of our people... We are asking you to do this! Especially while we are on the site.. We are going to need your help...it's going to be a hard day so please pray with us!
