Woman Becomes Accidental Amazon Warehouse — Let’s Help Her Go Viral

Woman Becomes Accidental Amazon Warehouse — Let’s Help Her Go Viral for the Right Reasons”

By Tina Winterlik aka Zipolita

Imagine this.

You’re just living your life in San Jose, California, taking care of your elderly mom, when one day a box shows up. Then another. Then another. For over a year, massive Amazon packages just keep coming. Hundreds of them.

You never ordered anything. You complain. Six times. You beg Amazon to stop. But instead, they offer you a $100 gift card and suggest you donate or return these giant boxes of fake leather car seat covers — that you didn’t even buy.

This is the true story of a woman named Kay, whose house and life have been slowly taken over by one careless Amazon seller — and an even more careless response from Amazon itself.

“It’s been hell,” Kay told reporters. And who could blame her?

What Happened?

A Chinese-based Amazon seller (Liusandedian) mistakenly listed Kay’s home as the return address for all their U.S. customer returns. So for over a year, boxes kept arriving. Amazon’s return policy failed her. Their customer service let her down.

It took media attention before Amazon finally stepped in and cleared the packages.

How You Can Help

Let’s not let Kay’s story disappear under a pile of cardboard.

📢 Let’s get it on TikTok.

  • If you’re on TikTok, make a fun video about this story.
  • Tag #AmazonFail, #ConsumerRights, or #ReturnToSender.
  • Use your creativity to raise awareness — humor, drama, skits — anything helps.
  • Tag Amazon and ask: “How would YOU like it if this happened to your mom?”

And if you’re not on TikTok (like me), share this story on your blog, your Facebook, your local groups, anywhere people care about fairness.

What I Wish for Kay

I wish someone local could help Kay:

  • Host a “Free Seat Cover” giveaway.
  • Get the boxes out of her yard for good.
  • Maybe even start a GoFundMe to buy her some peace and quiet.

Because no one should have to live like this. Especially not because a billion-dollar company can’t fix its own mess.

💔
Let’s use our voices, our blogs, and our art to make sure this never happens to someone else.
