Poor Kits Beach :( We are in Mexico and just heard about this today. The video of Kits pool underwater is shocking. Hope everyone is okay.

Growing up as a kits kid and having memories of swimming in the old tidal pool and diving off of the yacht club pier and swimming out to the freighters when the tide was out or laying on the sandy beach it is really difficult to imagine a 17 foot king tide. As long as I lived in kits I never ever had seen this event ever happen. To think the entire pool and promanaide around the pool is submerged is unimaginable. People used to fish off of the walk area where the dog was playing and there was quite a drop .The show boat never looked as it does now. Are these types of tides going to be the norm now...Vancouver better be prepared.A kits kid now living in the flat lands.
