The term "Harper IDU Group" likely refers to former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his role as Chairman of the International Democracy Union (IDU). The IDU is an international alliance of center-right political parties, founded in 1983, with the aim of promoting conservative policies and fostering relationships among like-minded political organizations worldwide. 

Stephen Harper has been serving as the Chairman of the IDU since February 21, 2018.  Under his leadership, the organization has continued its mission to support democracy and center-right policies globally. The IDU comprises 84 full and associate member parties from 65 countries, facilitating collaboration and the exchange of ideas among its members. 

In September 2023, the organization rebranded itself from the International Democrat Union to the International Democracy Union as part of its 40th-anniversary celebrations, aiming to clarify its mission and expand its network in support of democracy worldwide. 

As Chairman, Harper has been involved in various initiatives and events, including opening the IDU Forum 2024 in Washington, D.C., where member parties and partners from around the world convened to discuss issues related to freedom and democracy.
