Listen, please listen...

The village of Snauq - is now known as Kitsilano...

Do it for your Children's Children!!

YOUR ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED!!

For the wild salmon, for the orcas, for the bears and other wildlife that depend on wild salmon populations, for indigenous rights, for our beautiful coast, for your children and all future generations! This Thursday, we need your voice.

The BC NDP Cabinet is meeting with First Nation leaders September 6&7 at the Vancouver Convention Center WEST. Please join us for a rally on Thursday from 11am - 1pm, to tell the BC government not to renew the salmon farm licenses of occupation in the Broughton Archipelago.

The Wild Salmon Defenders Alliance will rally in solidarity with Musgamagw Dzawada'enuxw, Namgis and Mamalilikulla who are occupying two fish farms to assert their Indigenous rights and and responsibilities to care for their unceded territory and fishing resources. We are calling on the BC Cabinet to exercise provincial jurisdiction to revoke licences of occupation given to fish farms in their territories, thus putting an end to 30 years of fish farm violations of their Indigenous rights, and result in a very meaningful act of reconciliation.

It's time for ALL BC citizens to take a stance. We have seen the footage and the evidence of disease within these fish farms. We have seen the endangered herring and wild salmon trapped in the pens. We have seen the deformations, the open wounds, the sea lice, the emaciated fish, the clouds of waste. We have seen the entanglements of whales and other sea life. Thanks to Alexandra Morton, First Nation leaders, the crew of the R/V Martin Sheen, and so many others, we know what is going on out there. Please show up to show your support for the NDP government to revoke these fish farm licenses of occupation. And if you don't live close enough to attend, please phone and email John Horgan's office every day until we are satisfied with their course of action. 1-250-837-1715; premier@gov.bc.ca

Our Roots Go Deep in this Territory! How deep do yours go?

The Musgmagw Dzawada’enuwx Nation have stood in opposition to fish farms in their territory for nearly 30 years.

Since time immemorial they have protected their salmon and herring for future generations.

Our people have spoken.

Fish farms must be removed from our territories.

Cleansing Our Waters
#FishFarmsGetOut

We are ALL CONNECTED.
LISTEN VERY CLOSELY AT THE 8:00 MARK.
Great explanation of how IMPORTANT salmon are. This is in Alaska, we need to create a better balance and protect our precious environment.

Here's another film that explains home important balance is.
Please WATCH this POWERFUL moving video. The message is about RESPECT!!

This is a very very important video that all people should watch but especially people from B.C.
Especially ALL the children of B.C. It should be shown in all schools. This video should be shared throughout Canada and the World.

We must protect and respect the land and the protectors of the land.

We are all created equal, everything, all creatures of this earth. No one or thing is more important that the other.

When we learn and understand this way of life we will restore the balance. We may be in for the fight of our lives against those that do not believe this. But it has been proven, as it was on Lyell Island that the people united can never be divided and great change can happen. Please share the video. Watch it with your family.

The salmon are in dire straits and so are the whales and every living being that eats them. That means us, our children and future grandchildren. What will happen to the next 7 generations is the Wild Salmon disappear. What will happen to the whales.. to us???

"Salmon Confidential is a new film on the government cover up of what is killing BC’s wild salmon.

When biologist Alexandra Morton discovers BC’s wild salmon are testing positive for dangerous European salmon viruses associated with salmon farming worldwide, a chain of events is set off by government to suppress the findings.

Tracking viruses, Morton moves from courtrooms, into British Columbia’s most remote rivers, Vancouver grocery stores and sushi restaurants.

The film documents Morton’s journey as she attempts to overcome government and industry roadblocks thrown in her path and works to bring critical information to the public in time to save BC’s wild salmon.

The film provides surprising insight into the inner workings of government agencies, as well as rare footage of the bureaucrats tasked with managing our fish and the safety of our food supply.      WATCH DOCUMENTARY HERE"
