π Canadian Wins Celebration… with a Safety Reminder! π⚾
Wow, Canadians are on fire this week! π₯ The Vancouver Canucks kicked off their season with a 5–1 win over the Calgary Flames ππ₯ and the Toronto Blue Jays just clinched the ALDS series! ⚾π₯³ That’s two big wins and yes, people will be partying hard! π»π
But a gentle reminder: have fun, but be safe! π¦π‘
- π¨ Slow down—don’t overindulge with alcohol.
- π No drinking and driving! This includes scooters π΄ & electric bikes π²⚡
- π Be patient on buses and in lineups.
- π‘ Keep calm and avoid road rage, especially in rainy weather π§️.
- πͺ Wear your helmet at all times! Remember our brain injury series π§ π₯
Speaking of helmets and safety, here’s a personal story… π¨π
Just a few days ago, I went out to get some purple hair dye π♀️π. I decided to ride my bike up to Broadway—big mistake! π΄♀️ Hills everywhere, and at one point I even took my helmet off. As I started riding again, I thought, "Whoa… not wearing my helmet!" π«£ I quickly put it back on, but then I hit a curb and wiped out π±. Thankfully, a kind man helped me, and I ended up with just a bruise πͺ. But it was a HUGE reminder: listen to your inner voice, slow down, and stay safe!
So yes, celebrate the wins π, cheer for our teams π£, but let’s make sure no one spoils the fun by being careless. Helmets on πͺ, patience in traffic π, and smiles all around! ππ
Go Canada! π¨π¦π⚾
