It's so TRAGIC that the Cowichan River is Drying Up and could completely dry up by the end of the month unless they get a huge rainfall.

The Cowichan Tribes have stopped fishing .

On Twitter I read that Volunteers are also trucking salmon up the river

My daughter pointed out, the bears are going to be very sad, not to mention many other creatures because there will be a lack of other animals in the forest because of the shortage of fish.  The Cowichan is a Gorgeous Green Rainforest with many  many animals depending on it, this truly is a huge environmental disaster and I hope people realize the seriousness of this situation, take responsibility, and take action quickly.

A Walk Along the Beautiful Cowichan River!

The changes in BC from global warming, natural disasters and other culprits are deeply saddening indeed. =( I haven't felt much of the difference in Vancouver... yet, so it's good to be reminded of what's happening right outside of the city. I signed the petition! =)

Thanks Samantha, I'm doing all I can to spread the word, and they have over 600 signatures already. So it's working. I appreciate your support and I hope you can visit the Cowichan River some day, it's life changing. A power spot, like Zipolite and Kitsilano. :)
