do vote and vote for Bernie Sanders. Since we neighbour with the US(I'm referring to me-in Canada), it's very
scary that Trump is even running. I don't want to think about what would
happen if he succeeded. I thought it was all a joke but now I am doing
everything I can to encourage people to vote for Bernie. I don't want a
WW3 and I don't trust Hilary as she's be bought and sold and she covered
for her husband...she has a history of covering things so that is
untrustworthy right there. I believe Bernie is the only one who has an
actual good soul.
I was listening to old songs on Youtube today while I was painting. There were the most amazing songs from my youth....that many of the kids today have never heard.
Love this one so much.
I wish someone would write a modern day version. I was going to do it a while back...I'm not a song writer or much of singer... but I love to sing along to this while I paint and dance around the house!!
Share this with your kids(teens) maybe if you explain it, it might inspire them.

If you ever wondered how I became an activist well it stems from the fact that when I was a little girl, I was 10, in 1972 when the Vietnam war was all over the news. (and I was a Canadian, living in Canada). We only had one channel CBC and I saw a lot of things that were horrible images and a lot of protesters on TV.
I remember saying- crying to my mom- "why can't they bring them home"...I get all shivery and teary thinking about it.
M.A.S.H the TV show (about the Korean war) was also on TV and it gave a real face to the war. That must have being the origins...
We also had draft dodgers, a lovely woman and her husband come and work for my mom and dad in the restaurant and gas station we owned. She tried to teach me a song her mandolin - Moonshadow. They had a great big St. Bernard. I will never forget that.
The video show images from the Vietman war, don't watch if it upsets you too much(close your eyes and don't let kids see this.).
But the song GIMME SHELTER is powerful. LISTEN!!

Two things here, as I suggested earlier, just listen to the words, don't look at the images, but also remember...there was a time not so very long ago when all film, video, television, movies were all in BLACK AND WHITE.. With our rapid advance in technology I believe it's something many of us for and for the kids they are unaware.
When you talk about the power of a song, when this came out, there was no internet and I living in Canada- with no relatives from Australia. I didn't really know much about it and the issues they had involving the indigenous people who lived there. This song let me know...it educated me, enlightened me. The Power of a Song!! Music is Power- use it! But use it wisely!
Here's a great speech! Wow America, you could really do something AMAZING! You CAN change the world. You can VOTE FOR BERNIE and bring a person into power that TRULY IS FOR THE PEOPLE.

I just loved what Eustace had to say, and it made me think of my dad and give thanks to him today. He was only in my life 11 years, but he must of had some great visions.
When we were kids we had rabbits and pigs, chickens and a whole big peat bog down the back where we used to go pick blueberries, and dad hunted the foxes that were killing his chickens.
I remember helping him pick up the shells after he shot at something. I remember helping him when we went down the back to get a rabbit for Sunday dinner.
This was in Surrey B.C. Canada back in the early 60's.
In 1969 we moved to a place that my mother would later refer to as "beyond Hope" but he must have had incredible dreams and visions about what could be done.
As kids we roamed half a mountainside and we were always out playing somewhere and my parents didn't know where I was. (Later in life I thought we were neglected but now I appreciate the gift of freedom my parents gave me.)
Like Eustace says this instilled the hope and vision that I could do anything because no one was telling me I couldn't. We only had one TV channel- theCBC.
Today I want to say "Thank You Daddy!" I know you had big dreams you weren't able to make a reality, largely in part to credit cards, believe it or not., even way back then.
He had chosen to have a gas station and the one he chose was Pacific 66 because they took all cards, but guess what, alot of those people didn't pay there cards...it took a long time for me to figure this one out as I was so young at the time when he passed away and there were so many other factors involved.
My dad was huge dreamer, and so am I. I love him for that. I Thank him for that.
I hope by letting my daughter run around on a beach in Mexico for 2 winters with no TV, I've instilled some of these values and dreams in her. I can see it in her stories, thoughts and actions.

I believe we can all create Miracles. We Can get back in touch with nature, we Can lead simpler lives.
What's happening and has happened in the U.S. and Canada in the ecomonics is sad, and hard, and tragic in many situations, especially for the childrenbut as Eustace says "If we can get thru that pain" we can be much stronger people that can achieve our dreams.
We have to achieve our dreams of a simpler sustainable life because there is no other options.
The consumer, materialistic, me, me, me model does NOT work and so we must work towards living in harmony with nature, living in harmony with each other, living in peace.
As Eustace says at the end of his talk "Peace be with you!!"
