IMAGINE... 17 OR more tankers, cargo, and what ever types I see sitting in Burrard Inlet on a given day. When an earthquake hits, and for what ever reason there are fires everywhere and KABOOOOM, KABOOOOM, KABOOOOM, one tanker blows and then another and another and there is oil leaking all over the place.
You know what. Sort of like the end of the dinosaurs. At least the end of us. All of Kitsilano, Point Grey, False Creek. So then what.
Canada just says ah well, silly people, SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER and they move to Victoria or up the coast and start a new port.
GIVE ME A BREAK!
This isn't rocket science people. The rules and regulations are all nicey nice but you just stop for a minute and think about FLINT MICHIGAN and how all those beautiful children have been poisoned.
And everyone is asking WHY? HOW? I thought we had rules and regulations to protect us.
Right?
But the truth is when it comes to the people...let's face it the poor people or middle income, no one cares. Because rich people don't have time for poor people. People who are not rich are looked down upon by most of the 1% and haven't a clue to the life you are living. They think they can just move away...and they can. But we can't. And maybe we don't want to.
Update: I just remembered that not only did my grandparents build a home in Vancouver, my dad did too, and then sold it when we moved to Surrey and then Hope. I will try to find out if it still exists. I know my grandma's house is gone.

Did you ever watch that movie the Big Miracle?

It's a nice show, but the show is much different than the book and there's a 'KEY ' element that people aren't looking at. LOOK LOOK deeply into my eyes when I tell you, there's big money in cleaning up an oil spill. YES! as gross as that sounds watch the Exxon Valdez video below.
So something else I want you to consider.

Animal Farm- Have you seen it? You Should!!
Wow, haven't seen this since grade 10 so that would be about 1978. I remember we all gathered in the cafeteria. I think it was all the grade 9 & 10's. It had a big impact on me although at the time I wasn't into politics and really had no understanding of the original ideology behind it.
But just watching it tonight, it could play out so big and it makes so much sense if you to apply it to government and corporations or any organized entity.

William- Prince of Wales

So here we go Are you ready to get up at 3am to watch William get married.
Many of us have watched him grow up. We read the stories of how Diana took William and Harry them to McDonalds and let them pay so they could have "normal life experiences."
Diana loved her boys dearly and well we know she's watching now, smiling, as she sees her son marry a lovely woman.
From the sounds of it, Kate and William are as down to earth as possible considering the Royal lifestyle that William has grown up in and to which Kate will now have to deal with.
I like Kate, I think it's cool she graduated with honors in Art History and there were rumors said she wanted to pursue photography. I sure hope she will be happy with William.
She's older than Diana, so that will hopefully make her more settled and the fact that this should marriage is just between her and William and there's no third party lurking in the background, hopefully it will be a happy marriage.
All relationships are tough and I can't imagine one with all the rules these guys have to contend with. But William seems like a level headed down to earth guy and considering Diana was his mom, I think he's pretty cool.
Hopefully he doesn't take after his dad too much, and now with the rulebook put on the back burner and things loosened up, there won't be any weirdness that surrounded Charles and Diana's wedding.
William and Kate's Wedding really is the Cinderella Story, but more of a Cinderella 2, where Kate is educated and knows what she wants and can hold her own.
I hope they have a really happy life. I'm looking forward to the wedding. It's going to be exciting.
