Screenplay: Legacy of Hope

Opening Scene: Prime Minister’s Office, Day

(Justin Trudeau, mid-50s, sits at his desk. Papers are stacked high, news headlines flash across a muted TV: "Housing Crisis Worsens," "Climate Catastrophe Looms," "Inequality at All-Time High." Justin looks weary but determined. Family photos of his three teenage children sit prominently on the desk.)

Justin (V.O.)

"I’ve spent years trying to balance politics and principles. But now, with no election to win, no party lines to toe, I have a choice. A chance to rewrite my legacy—for my kids, and for every child who’ll grow up in this country."

Scene 1: The Catalyst

(Justin is at home with his kids—Ella-Grace, Xavier, and Hadrien—watching a documentary on climate change. Ella, 17, turns to him.)

Ella

“Dad, you’re the Prime Minister. Why can’t you just fix it? The world’s on fire, people can’t afford homes, and billionaires just get richer. What are we even waiting for?”

(Justin looks at his kids, a flicker of guilt and resolve crossing his face.)

Justin

“You’re right. We’ve waited too long. But it’s not too late to try.”

---

Scene 2: The Decision

(The next day, Justin meets with his closest advisors. His Chief of Staff, Rachel, looks skeptical.)

Rachel

“A wealth tax? National rent controls? Cutting oil subsidies? Justin, these are radical. The opposition will tear us apart. The corporations—”

Justin (interrupting)

“Let them. I’m not running again. This isn’t about politics anymore. It’s about doing what’s right. For the people. For my kids. For everyone’s kids.”

Rachel (after a pause)

“Then let’s make history.”

---

Scene 3: Rolling Out the Plan

(Montage: Justin working late nights, signing papers, consulting with activists and experts. Headlines flash: “Canada Introduces Wealth Tax on Billionaires,” “Historic Housing Reforms Announced,” “Trudeau Pledges 100% Renewable Energy by 2035.”)

Voiceover (News Anchor)

“Prime Minister Trudeau has unveiled a bold series of reforms, targeting inequality, housing, and climate change. While opposition parties and corporate leaders have criticized the measures, public support is growing…”

---

Scene 4: The Backlash

(Opposition leaders hold press conferences, accusing Trudeau of economic sabotage. Protests by corporate lobbyists clash with rallies of everyday Canadians chanting, “Housing is a right!” and “Tax the rich!”)

Ella (watching the news at home)

“Dad, they’re saying you’re ruining the economy.”

Justin (sitting beside her)

“They’ll say that because they’re scared. Change is never easy, but it’s necessary. One day, you’ll understand why this mattered.”

---

Scene 5: The Ripple Effect

(In a small town, a single mother moves into an affordable home for the first time. In a remote Indigenous community, clean water flows from the tap. Solar panels line rooftops in cities. People gather in parks, celebrating new housing developments.)

News Anchor (V.O.)

“While critics remain vocal, many Canadians are already feeling the effects of Trudeau’s reforms. Economists predict a stronger, more equitable recovery in the years ahead…”

---

Scene 6: Legacy Reflected

(Justin stands on Parliament Hill, his term ending. His children are by his side. Protesters and supporters alike fill the streets.)

Ella

“Do you think it worked?”

Justin (smiling)

“Not everything. But enough to make a difference. Enough to give people hope.”

(The camera pans out, showing the crowd—a mix of young and old, diverse faces filled with determination. The screen fades to black, with text overlaying the scene:)

Text on Screen:

"In the years following Trudeau’s reforms, Canada became a global leader in addressing inequality and climate change. His legacy inspired movements worldwide, proving that even in uncertain times, bold action can lead to a better future."

---

Closing Scene: A Note to the Audience

(A montage of real-life footage: activists marching, communities rebuilding, children playing in green spaces. A final message appears on the screen:)

Text on Screen:

"The future is unwritten. What legacy will we leave behind?"

(Roll credits

with uplifting instrumental music.)

Wouldn’t it be something if life imitated art?

Thank you Justin for the Canada Child Benefit!

Well it's here!!
FINALLY!
SO HAPPY!

It's not a lot but the whole time since I have had Angel it's been tough. Tough for so many reasons but today a little help arrived. It makes me hopeful. So much more hopeful than the terrible crazy things going on in the rest of the world.
https://www.kelownanow.com/news/news/National_News/16/07/20/Canadians_now_receiving_the_new_child_benefit_payment

THANK YOU JUSTIN TRUDEAU!!
Your dad must be so proud. He is smiling down at you and your mom must be SUPER PROUD!! and you wife and kids. This is a really big thing. Maybe Christy Clark will take a lesson from you. Maybe all politicians, and people of wealth will wake up and realize it's important to help us, help parents and kids because it's f____g hard to survive in this world. Anyways THANK YOU AGAIN! VERY GRATEFUL!!

THANK YOU also to Jean-Yves Duclos- YOU ROCK TOO!!!

"The poverty rate for children in Canada will fall from about 11.2 per cent to 6.7 per cent," says Jean-Yves Duclos, the federal minister of Families, Children and Social Development, which is responsible for the program.

ROBIN HOOD
"Take from the rich, give to the poor"

"The poorest of those families will see the biggest boost while the wealthiest will see their child benefit payment disappear altogether." http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/canada-child-benefit-social-safety-net-baby-bonus-childcare-justin-trudeau-social-assistance-1.3685290

HEY JUSTIN, if anyone tries to give you any flack you just show them this clip!! Ha! Ha!

"Doesn't make the better citizens, doesn't it make them better customers?"

It's a beautiful day! I am so grateful!

The heart is a bloom
Shoots up through the stony ground
There's no room
No space to rent in this town

You're out of luck
And the reason that you had to care
The traffic is stuck
And you're not moving anywhere

You thought you'd found a friend
To take you out of this place
Someone you could lend a hand
In return for grace

It's a beautiful day
Sky falls, you feel like
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away

You're on the road
But you've got no destination
You're in the mud
In the maze of her imagination

You're lovin' this town
Even if that doesn't ring true
You've been all over
And it's been all over you

It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
It's a beautiful day

Touch me
Take me to that other place
Teach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case

See the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
And see the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the colors came out

It was a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
Beautiful day

Touch me
Take me to that other place
Reach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case

What you don't have you don't need it now
What you don't know you can feel it somehow
What you don't have you don't need it now
Don't need it now
Was a beautiful day

Thank you again!!
Big Hugs of Gratitude coming your way!!

"Discriminated Against Indigenous Children for Generations"- Justin Trudeau

VICE Canada spent the day with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Shoal Lake 40: http://bit.ly/1VWSdSF

The prime minister went on to discuss his government's plans to repeal the Indian Act — the piece of controversial federal legislation that dictates the way First Nations reserves govern themselves. Earlier this month, the justice minister told Parliament the Act was akin to shackles on First Nations peoples.

For Trudeau, the Act does not make sense for Canada.

"The fact that the federal government controls so completely Indigenous peoples from when they're born, to executing their will, there are things that simply make no sense anymore in a modern and free country."

In an interview with VICE News during his Shoal Lake 40 visit, Trudeau was asked about a recent ruling by the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, that found the federal government discriminates against First Nations children living on reserves by not providing the same level of child welfare funding that children living off reserve are entitled to.

Justin Trudeau Visits Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask

"We had a good, respectful, and productive conversation," Trudeau said. "I think it's critically important that politicians take the time to listen. I don't want to pretend that any of us have the answers to the challenges facing Indigenous peoples in Canada. But what I will tell you is that as a country, we can build those answers."

Edmund Bellegarde, tribal chairman and president at File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council, said actions speak louder than words.

"The very action of the prime minister coming here meeting with our leaders and our elders. He didn't talk. He listened. "This is action. This is a respect. This is history in the making."

PROTESTORS DEMAND HELP FOR ATTAWAPISKAT CRISIS

TORONTO — Several groups of indigenous activists have occupied the offices of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada in Toronto and staged a sit-in in Winnipeg, demanding that Justin Trudeau visits a northern Ontario community struggling with a recent spate of suicide attempts. http://news.nationalpost.com/toronto/idle-no-more-protesters-occupy-federal-office-building-in-toronto-to-demand-action-for-attawapiskat

Question for De Beers & Suggestions for the Attawapiskat First Nation

I have a question and I think it is one everyone should be asking...

If you can spend a BILLION $$$$ setting up a DIAMOND MINE, THEN WHY CAN'T YOU TAKE CARE OF THE PEOPLE, WHOSE LIFE YOU ARE DESTROYING/OR WILL DESTROY?

WHY?

From Wikipedia

De Beers Canada officially opened De Beers Victor Diamond Mine, Ontario's first ever diamond mine on July 26, 2008. De Beers has spent approximately $1 billion on construction of the mine. It is an open pit mine located 90 kilometres (56 mi) west of the settlement of Attawapiskat on Attawapiskat First Nation traditional land.

The company has transferred about $10.5 million to a trust fund held by Attawapiskat as of January 2011. The Attawapiskat Trust, established January 1, 2007, receives payments made by De Beers Canada and Attawapiskat Limited Partnership (ALP) as part of the Victor Diamond Project Impact and Benefits Agreement (November 3, 2005-11-03) (Financial Statements Attawapiskat Trust 2012 p. 4). The beneficiary of the trust includes "all members of Attawapiskat on a collective and undivided basis (Financial Statements Attawapiskat Trust 2012 p. 4)."[46]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now I have some suggestions for the Attawapiskat First Nation- especially the youth.

I heard that you do have access to the outer world through internet. Maybe it looks all rosy and exciting out here but it's a LIE! Now it's just my opinion but have a little listen,  In VANCOUVER you can't buy a house, just a regular house is $million or more.
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.ca/2016/03/why-poverty-in-bc-canada-is-complex.html
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.ca/2016/03/vancouver-empty-condo-lottery.html

Rent, Food, Laundry, just the basics are super expensive.

People out here are so numbed out and disconnected from the land they drink, smoke, jog, yoga, do sports everything to occupy there brains and bodies. But it's because they've lost the traditional ways.

If you happen to be a single mom, it's almost a homeless sentence.

So here's a few suggestions.

Get someone to organize it...maybe make De Beers pay but get you all on Lynda.com and you can learn everything about web design, app design and photography on there.

Learn how to make videos- I can help...lots of info online.

USE YOUR VOICE!!
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.ca/2016/03/grassroots-rock-candy-revolution.html

CREATE BLOGS-they are free.

Ask De Beers for computers and cameras. Document your town. Someone needs to map it out. Google hasn't got much.

Create a little paradise up there. Life is what you make it, ...as I TELL MYSELF, and my dream is tinyhouse and a garden. HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT TINY HOUSES?

Make De Beers help pay for TINY HOUSES for all of you. There's only 2000 of you right. You could organize and build them. http://www.tumbleweedhouses.com/

This way you can move them around when you need to!

Now I read Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attawapiskat_First_Nation  and you should too.
LEARN ABOUT YOUR TOWN AND WHAT'S GOING ON, then study the law.

The cool thing is there are so many courses online you don't have to go off to school or have a teacher come to you.

It's all online. You can learn so much.

Google is a GIGANTIC LIBRARY!!!

Maybe one day you will be the JUSTICE MINSTER-

Jody Wilson-Raybould

@Puglaas

you never know. We live in this amazing world where you can be isolated but connected. (But her job is so hard right now, not sure I would want it. )

Grow gardens and really learn about green walls and living roofs, solar, and anything green. These are powerful skills that the outside world is just waking up to.
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.ca/2016/04/why-we-need-green-walls-and-green-roofs.html
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.ca/2016/04/green-ideas-solutions.html

Create some tourism but don't rely on it. Tourism can easily destroy things...trust me I worked on the cruiseships. But a little bit is okay.

If you get really connected to the land again with gardens and harvesting and connect to the elders, and if you study permaculture -you can grow your own food and this is where many wonderful things will occur. We really need gardens here in Vancouver but we haven't figured it out yet. http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.ca/2016/03/vancouver-city-we-need-to-grow-our-own.html

Here's some pinterest boards I made
https://www.pinterest.com/zipolita/the-changerz/

this is my board https://www.pinterest.com/zipolita/ and maybe something on it will inspire you.
https://www.pinterest.com/zipolita/cedarbasketsweaving/
Check out these, don't these look fun!!
https://www.pinterest.com/zipolita/elf-ears/
and these https://www.pinterest.com/zipolita/antlers/

YOU COULD MAKE COSTUMES AND PUT ON PLAYS OR MAKE A FILM OR VIDEO!!

Sewing machines would be a good idea, you should ask De Beers for those, and you can make your own fashions.

AUTOTELIC: A thing which is autotelic[1] is described as "having a purpose in and not apart from itself".

Do lots of art JUST FOR FUN and sell it. First Nations art often sells for big money in the cities.  This is IMPORTANT - Start a co-op - some kind of fair trade thing- so you receive your fair share and not the middle man.

MOST IMPORTANT- NATURE IS MAGIC!!!
Listen to what Robert Bateman says, it's very important!!
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.ca/2016/04/nature-is-magic-robert-bateman.html

Here's an art project I did to raise awareness about pipelines and oilspills. It's called #SaveMyCoast

Anyways, I'M HERE FOR YOU!!
Reach out if you want to find out about videos, blogging, web design, I AM HAPPY TO HELP IF I CAN. OKAY?

Just to finish up, a few years ago I tried to make an app for a little town in MEXICO, called Zipolite. I never got it into the playstore, but here's the website I made for the town. http://zipolitemexico.blogspot.ca/

Anyways I was in a course - and I CREATED THIS SITE, THE CHANGERZ.
Are you my changerz. http://thechangerzz.blogspot.ca/2014/03/hello-welcome-changerz.html
http://thechangerz.blogspot.ca/

YOU COULD MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS. Build an online community.
See mine is all based on  my vision.
Maybe you could re-animate it better than I did and make an app for it..

But before you do watch this. This is that perfect world you think we live in. NOTHING could be further from the truth.

Now this is what inspired me to make the app.  Chipotle
did something pretty cool there...maybe you can do something similar with your own twist.
The animation encouraged you to download the app, and then you played a game and got a free burrito. Think, how could you put your own spin on it?

WELL , I HOPE THESE SUGGESTIONS HELP!!
Remember this-- This link below might seem odd but YOU ARE THE FUTURE and YOU WILL MAKE THE CHANGEZ. You CAN make the news...and share it on social meda.

REACH OUT, WE ARE HERE! PEOPLE ARE LISTENING!
Speak up, but in an creative way!!
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.ca/2016/04/the-revolution-will-not-be-televised.html

OKAY, SENDING LOVE AND LIGHT!! and just for fun a CHERRY BLOSSOM BLIZZARD!!
now, create and share something beautiful with me... I KNOW YOU CAN!!
MAYBE MUSIC, DRUMMING, DANCING??? SHOW ME!
Show the world!

Stop the Bullies-Enlighten Yourself and Others

Well we see and hear it everywhere.

It's on the TV, the election process is a disgusting example of bullying.
The House of Commons showed appalling displays of bullying with heckling the speakers, that appear to have stopped since Elizabeth May called them out on it!!

WAY TO GO ELIZABETH!!

But it didn't happen during Harper dictatorship...it came from Justin's Reign

Elizabeth May asked her fellow MPs to follow decorum and stop heckling in the House of Commons ... and she got heckled.

It's in our homes, spouses, siblings, parents...are guilty.

It starts early. In children it starts in pre-school.

IT HAS A LONG DARK HISTORY WITH OUR FIRST NATIONS IN CANADA STEMMING FROM COLONIALISM AND THE CATHOLIC RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS.

We can change it. You just have to recognize and learn where and why it happens.

Tomorrow is Pink Shirt day!

Pink Shirt Day. On February 24, 2016 we encourage everyone to wear something pink to show that we are all working together to prevent bullying in our schools, in our communities and online. Pink Shirt Day comes from two Nova Scotia high school students, who decided to take a stand against bullying in their own school.

I am happy to hear Justin is the first Prime Minister to go to the Pride Parade in Toronto.
And I know they are having events at my daughters school regarding Pink Day tomorrow.
http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2016/02/23/justin-trudeau-first-canadian-prime-minister-to-attend-pride-parade/

Very much looking forward to being there again, this time as PM. #PrideTO J’ai très hâte d’y participer à nouveau, cette fois en tant que PM.

Murder of Reena Virk
I was pregnant with my child when the trial for Reena Virk was in all the news and I was so traumatized that I swore I would do everything to prevent that from my child and others.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Reena_Virk

We CAN STOP IT!

Pink Shirts won't stop it, (it helps bring awareness and that's awesome) but teaching your children, friends, family, spouse and co-workers we can do our best to prevent it.  Do your part! SPEAK UP!!!

The beginning of this video is really hard to watch but it's a really great video

#PeopleOnTheLine- IS IT TIME FOR A PEOPLE'S INJUNCTION?

When the Liberals were elected in October it was on a platform that included a number of important promises related to climate change that would set out to fix some of the damage done by a Conservative government with an atrocious environmental record. One of the most significant of these promises was to overhaul the National Energy Board (NEB) environmental assessment process for resource-based projects like pipelines – a process that was badly undermined under the last government. However, the Liberals are already sending strong signals that they’re not serious about following through on this process. Next week the final round of hearings for Kinder Morgan’s proposed Trans-Mountain pipeline expansion will move forward and will do so under the same rules set by the Conservatives – the same rules the Liberals promised to change. As such, opposition to the Trans-Mountain project and the NEB reviews is growing rapidly across the country as Canadians gear up for a “People’s Injunction”, led by 350.org, to hold the government to account. Oh the Times they are a Changing!!

Oh the Times they are a Changing!!
And for the better I am happy to say!!

I feel so hopeful after the cabinet that Justin Trudeau chose. Some wonderful choices that will make a very strong Canada and help begin to repair the destruction and damage that Harper did.

You should take a minute and look at all the great photos and see the events that occurred on this historic day. Oh the times they are a changing- for the better I believe. I am so hopeful.

New Canadian PM Justin Trudeau Just Showed the World How You Treat Women in Politics

http://mic.com/articles/127937/new-canadian-pm-justin-trudeau-just-showed-the-world-how-you-treat-women-in-politics

"Justin Trudeau, arguably the world's new favorite prime minister was sworn in as Canada's 23rd leader on Wednesday morning and announced a new cabinet that looks radically different from the one under his conservative predecessor, Stephen Harper. Arriving hand-in-hand with his wife, Sophie Grégoire, at Rideau Hall in Ottawa by foot, breaking the nearly decade-long conservative tradition of ministers arriving aboard limousines, Trudeau signaled what many were hoping for: a fresh new era in Canadian politics.

Trudeau had vowed to design a cabinet with equal gender representation, and he delivered on the promise.  A full list of the cabinet shows that 15 out of 30 new cabinet members are female. Most noteworthy is his decision to assign Jody Wilson-Raybould, a native woman, as the new minister of justice. This is the first time a native person has ever been assigned to that role. Given the lack of accountability and attention the missing and murdered indigenous women in Canada have received over the years, Trudeau's decision to appoint Wilson-Raybould to lead the justice department is more than symbolic — it could be a game-changer." This song could mean a lot of things but to me it's a warning and it's about change and I believe it's about out with the old and in with the new. Good things are coming...there could be some bad but we are on a much better path than we were.  Oh the Times they are a Changing!!

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'
Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'
Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside ragin'
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'
Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'
The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin'
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'
