So YVR is having a REALLY COOL CONTEST, but I can not enter, because I can't take my child. Bummer. BIG TIME. I would have ROCKED IT.

But I do want mention one thing...this contest is worth $55,650 which spread out over 80 days is $695.25 a Day!!! That's right, a day! That's what it works out to.

So that's pretty friggin' AMAZING.

So they get it. They get the value of paying someone to do Social Media for them in the form of VIDEOS, and Facebook and Tweet them everyday.

Kudos, Big Time!! That is just awesome!

The Airport- Emotion Overload

So I just have to write a bit more about the Airport and the Live at the YVR Contest  

The airport is so emotional for me, I always cry. Not sobbing crying, but that incredible emotional moment where tears well up and you feel like you'll burst if a few don't spill out. It's an emotional overload.

It's the place you say good-bye or hello again :). Everytime I leave to go on a big trip, I'm so full of emotion and excitement it happens. And everytime I come home...it happens. As we stand around the luggage carousel, you get that ahhhh, Wow! I'm home. I guess because we've been on some pretty big journeys and those are just natural emotions you can not suppress, even if you wanted to.

I mean who wants to start crying when there are tons of people standing around, but you can't help it.
So what an exciting contest. I think it would be a totally awesome experience.

In celebration of YVR's 80th anniversary, we are looking for someone to live at YVR for 80 days and share the stories of the airport with the world. That's right. Live here. Sleep here. Eat here. Shop here. For 80 consecutive days. 

You will be provided with hotel accommodation, a camera and editing equipment and have access to the people, places and behind-the-scenes spaces most have never seen. Until now. 

YVR is one of Vancouver and British Columbia's most important assets. Thousands of jobs. Millions of visitors. Billions in economic impact. Your assignment will be to explore the countless stories that come from the airport. You will film the interviews and package the videos to air on the Live@YVR online channel. 

You’re the on-the-ground correspondent. You’re the producer, director, reporter, editor and post-production supervisor.
