This new music video is the signature piece of the album by the same name. It is a sequel to Dana's hit music video entitled "Salmon Come Home."
The Great Salish Sea is sung from the perspective of "Granny," the 104-year old matriarch of our bioregion's resident orcas. It highlights adverse changes to the underwater acoustic environment through the last century, in the context of visually stunning imagery and soulful lyrics.Enjoy! :)
It's really sad and unnerving for many to know that the land we were raised on and the stories we were told in school, were not as we believed. There was a lot missing. Now the truth is out how will it change us, the people of Canada, how will it change Canada! Because we need BIG changes.
It sounds to me that so much work was done and is being done to help the survivors of the Residential schools and their families and children, but only time can heal many of these wounds.
Unfortunately, I am afraid that the people not directly affected will turn away. Everyone is so occupied with their own lives, work and climate issues ....so many issues....WILL CANADIANS LISTEN AND LEARN? I pray they will. I have fears that the info will be stored and forgotten.
Like many of my dear things that are in storage, I want to get them and have them and enjoy them but I don't have the space or the money. With all this delicate personally deeply emotional and touching, gut wrenching material I pray it's well taken care of, and what is needed it taken and used and practiced so that atrocities like this never happen again.
I send love and light to everyone that worked on the project, all the survivors and their families. I am so sorry this happened to you. I am so angry that people could do such sick horrible things to children and families.
All those poor mothers and father who lost their children. I would die!! What would you do?
How would you feel if this happened to you?
This is the best question...because what would you do, knowing your child is imprisoned somewhere, learning things that you see as no value...and truthfully they weren't because as we all see, the invaders basically brought and developed skills to wipe out all the humans on the earth if we are not careful and make changes.
For what ever dark ignorant reasons that it happened, WE AS CANADIANS must teach our children about this very dark time in history, teach our children this is the real Canada and teach our children empathy, so that this never ever happens again and also so that they can continue to help other and themselves as it will be many many generations before healing can happen in any significant way.
And thus it is so very very important that this info is protected and organized and cared for in the manner it deserves. I pray that in the future some crazy maniac, like we just had as a PM, doesn't decide it's taking up to much space and delete....like the libraries he was destroying.

"I do believe that the country that we think we have or that we've
been told we have — at least via the text books and the general Canadian
narrative — really isn't the country that has actually existed," he
said, calling the collection 'sobering.'

I am sharing this song because I think the message is so powerful.
"Teach Your Children"
You, who are on the road must have a code that you can live by.
And so become yourself because the past is just a good bye.
Teach your children well, their father's hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams, the one they fix, the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.
And you, of the tender years can't know the fears that your elders grew by,
And so please help them with your youth, they seek the truth before they can die.
Teach your parents well, their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams, the one they fix,the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

Word is that the brunt of the storm passed Vallarta but Melaque and Barra de Navidad got hit bad. Here are some photos. I will post more as I hear. Please pray for those affected. There is still ALOT of rain and this is the dangerous part because of landslides and flooding. Keep the people in our hearts and share this as often the little towns do not get the help they need after a disaster because know one knows about it. Please share and help if you can.

At 1000 AM CDT (1500 UTC), the center of Hurricane Patricia was
located near latitude 17.6 North, longitude 105.5 West. Patricia is
now moving toward the north near 10 mph (17 km/h). A turn toward

forecast track, the center of Patricia should cross the coast in
the hurricane warning area late this afternoon or early this

quickly north-northeastward across western and northern Mexico.
Maximum sustained winds remain near 200 mph (325 km/h) with higher

life-threatening surf and rip current conditions. Please consult

I voted Green but so very happy that Trudeau is in and Harper is gone.
I love these ladies. Listening to them speak and reading about them, they are powerful souls to be reckoned with. I have huge respect for both but so much for Margaret, she has really been so much.
But Sophie to has had a full plate. Together they make such a strong foundation for Justin to draw from.
I thought that before the election. For him to have grown up, dealing with the mental health issues faced by his mom, by the whole family, could only make him more empathetic.
He is the supporting force we need in this country, he can turn the way we treat people with mental health issues around. Let's pray the money goes where it's needed most.
My suggestions:
More gardens, composting, popbottle greenhouses, green walls,
Shelters- How to build- sustainable- off the grid, cob houses,
Enough Food (Re:garden)
Edible Schoolyards
Food Forests
Solar
Art- lots of art
Apothecary
Teach children how to build and survive with out electricity, so they have the resources should
they need it. In process teach them how to live without fossil fuels.
Grounding-Health-Exercise-Yoga, Mediation, Nature
Canada has huge opportunities here and I am looking forward to the change.
Onwards ladies, Onwards Justin. Let's help the people who really need it and heal them and Canada at the same time.
Well World, take a look, we have some great kind wise souls in powerful positions to make change in the country. Listen to these two lovely women speak. Together they will have great influence and that makes me happy and hopeful. I love that Sophie speaks 3 languages (Wikipedia) Grégoire is fluent in French, English, and Spanish.

Hurray! It's over! The Harper government aka dictatorship is over. Thank God! Thank all the positive powers that be and everyone who voted. I voted Green but I am still relieved that Liberals wons. It's not as I hoped but I am hopeful for change. I am hoping we will get some help.
Feels like a dream.
But Canada did it! Defeated a dictator!
That's something to tell your kids!! We had a close call. May that never
happen again. Never forget!!
Do you know that a boy named Ali is DYING for DEMOCRACY, right NOW!! Many of you, the #YOUTH whom I hope to address here, may not remember #ArabSpring. I happened in 2011 and is an amazing time in history. The power of the people was put to the test.
Through the #Freedom of Social Media people were truly empowered and could organize and unite and take down dictators. We are facing a similar threat from Harper and he must be voted out to save Canada.
Democracy MUST prevail. #Canada -the WORLD is WATCHING this #ELECTION2015
Watch this video and it will give you great incite into what is happening in this countries and why it's happening and the importance of it. What happens there affects YOU! #TheButterflyEffect

"And please, stop comparing #OWS to the Arab Spring. The protestors in
Tunisia literally would have died, and are dying, to have what we have—a
democracy. The next general election is November 8th. No one should have the right to protest that didn’t exercise his or her right to vote."
Watch this to know the dire straits we are facing if we turn our backs on #ClimateJustice
We must stop Bill #C51 and protect OUR #HUMANRIGHTS
If you care about Democracy & Freedom then you better make sure we have a government that RESPECTS our RIGHTS, PRIVACY, RIGHT TO PROTEST, #HUMANRIGHTS #SOCIALJUSTICE #WOMEN #GENDERJUSTICE #MIGRANTJUSTICE #ENVIRONMENT #SCIENTISTS #LIBRARIES #ART #FREEDOM #VOTE

This conference is a greenwashed sham. LNG lobbyists and our
so-called leaders are inside pushing their financial agendas with no
regard for frontline communities, indigenous sovereignty, or future

Yesterday, Luutkudziiwus, a 600 member House Group of the Gitxsan

regulatory permits awarded to the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission (PRGT)

Island.

“Our Madii Lii territory is not to be played with by the province of
BC in their LNG game. Clark’s LNG dream is a nightmare for us,” said
Hereditary Chief Luutkudziiwus (Charlie Wright). “While she paints a
shiny picture of LNG in their conference this week, the reality is that
First Nations are being bulldozed, and we have had enough”.
Tsimshian land defenders, who have re-occupied their traditional
territory of Lelu Island to protect Flora Banks from the Petronas LNG
project, also spoke to the crowd.
“We are protecting Lelu Island, Flora
Banks, and the Skeena River from the LNG plant that would destroy our
salmon. Like my father, Chief Yahaan says: If you take away the fish,
you take away the people,” said Joey Wesley, of the Gitwilgyoots Tribe
of Lax Kw’alaams.
The noise demo was held as part of the #Flood the System grassroots
mobilization, as communities across Canada and the United States are
saying “no” to the root causes of the climate crisis in the lead-up to
COP 21 in Paris.
