Alligator Alcatraz Is Not Just a U.S. Problem — It’s a Global Public Health Emergency

๐ŸŒŠ Don’t Turn Your Back on a Wave

Alligator Alcatraz Is Not Just a U.S. Problem — It’s a Global Public Health Emergency

By Tina Winterlik aka Zipolita

As Canadians, we often look south and shake our heads at the chaos, but this time, it’s different. This isn’t just political. It’s not just about broken systems or partisan cruelty. It’s about raw sewage, infectious disease, collapsing ecosystems, and people — human beings — being warehoused in swamp tents surrounded by filth, insects, and contaminated water.

The site is being called Alligator Alcatraz — a migrant detention facility hastily erected on swampland in the Florida Everglades. But what’s happening there is far beyond any nickname. It is, by all scientific and humanitarian measures, a public health time bomb.

๐Ÿšจ No Toilets. No Showers. No Safety.

Reports are flooding out now:

  • Overflowing toilets and sewage running across the floor
  • Worms found in rice and spoiled food served to detainees
  • People not allowed to shower or change their underwear for days
  • No air circulation in tents during heatwaves
  • Swarms of mosquitoes, crickets, frogs, and biting flies
  • People sick, dizzy, fainting, and still detained in these inhumane conditions

And the worst part? Officials admit they have nowhere to put the poop.

๐Ÿ’€ It’s Not Just Gross — It’s Deadly

This isn’t just uncomfortable or unsanitary. It’s lethal. In this environment, you create a perfect storm for disease outbreaks — the kind of diseases the world hasn’t seen in decades. Here’s what can happen — and in some cases, already is:

  • Hookworm infections from walking barefoot on feces-soaked soil
  • Trench foot, open sores, gangrene from wet, toxic floors
  • Cholera and typhoid from water contaminated by raw sewage
  • Legionnaires’ disease from mist and standing water
  • Leptospirosis from rat urine in floodwaters
  • Tuberculosis and respiratory disease from overcrowded tents
  • West Nile and dengue fever from mosquito swarms
  • Skin infections, scabies, and staph from constant filth

This is not theory. These diseases are known to emerge in disaster zones, refugee camps, and war-torn slums. The U.S. government is knowingly creating those same conditions on protected wetland, in violation of environmental law, with zero regard for the consequences.

๐ŸŒ It Won’t Stay Contained

Viruses and bacteria don’t recognize borders. Neither do mosquitoes or swamp water runoff. A major outbreak of cholera or Legionnaires’ near Miami, in the Florida heat, would not stay in Florida. This is a global risk.

And while the migrants inside Alligator Alcatraz are being treated as expendable, what’s growing inside that camp could impact millions if even one pathogen breaks out and spreads. This is how pandemics start.

⚖️ Violations of Law & Humanity

The construction of Alligator Alcatraz bypassed federal environmental review, trampled over the rights of the Miccosukee Tribe, and violates the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act. Lawsuits have already been filed.

But lawsuits are slow. And diseases don’t wait.

This camp should never have been opened — not here, not like this, not under these conditions. And now that it is, every hour it remains operational increases the threat to both the people inside and the world outside.

๐Ÿ“ข The WHO Must Act. The CDC Must Speak. The UN Must Investigate.

This is no longer just a domestic policy issue. It’s a matter of global health security.

We need:

  • Immediate shutdown of Alligator Alcatraz
  • Emergency sanitation response and safe relocation of detainees
  • Independent international inspection of the site
  • Urgent disease surveillance and outbreak prevention protocols

๐Ÿ’” You Can’t Say You Didn’t Know

We are watching history being written — not in silence, but in neglect.

The warning signs are all there. This wave is swelling. We either act now — or watch another human-made disaster unfold in slow motion.

And when it does, we won’t be able to say it came out of nowhere.

Caught in the Collapse

 Caught in the Collapse

By Tina Winterlik aka Zipolita

Lately I’ve been feeling like I’m standing at the intersection of multiple worlds — Canada, Mexico, the U.S., and the digital realm — watching as each one starts to crack under pressure.

I talk to friends in Mexico who’ve lived there for decades and are now hearing “Go home, gringo” from locals who are justifiably fed up with being pushed out of their own communities. It stings — not because it’s unfair, but because it reflects something deeper: global resentment, survival instincts, and the reality of a system that's collapsing everywhere.

Meanwhile, back in Canada, we’re being told that immigration targets are being reduced because there’s not enough housing. But we also hear we’re in desperate need of doctors, nurses, and skilled workers. So... which is it?

It all feels like a contradiction stitched together with duct tape:

  • No jobs
  • No housing
  • No food security
  • And on top of it all: climate chaos

⚠️ The Collapse Is Already Here

In the U.S., 24 people died in Texas over the July 4th weekend due to flash flooding. New Jersey was underwater days earlier. Why? Because vital weather services have been gutted. NOAA laid off over 1,000 workers. The planes that once flew into storms to collect data no longer do — because no one is paying them to.

Forecasting systems are broken.
The storms still come.
But the warnings don’t.

Canada isn’t immune. Our own emergency systems are stretched. We’ve seen wildfires, atmospheric rivers, and small towns losing medical care because the funding just isn’t there anymore.

๐ŸŒ Blurred Borders, Shared Struggles

I’m Canadian. But I’ve lived in Mexico. I speak Spanish. I have community there.

I’ve watched gentrification displace families in Oaxaca and B.C.
I’ve seen how digital nomads and Airbnb can disrupt fragile economies.
And I’ve known people who left Canada for the U.S., only to now wonder if they should come home — or escape again.

We used to talk about “brain drain.”
Now we may need a climate migration of knowledge — imagine if all those NOAA scientists came here to help us prepare.

But again…
Where do you go when nowhere feels safe anymore?

๐Ÿค” Reflective Questions

  • What does “home” really mean when your home feels broken?
  • How do we show empathy across borders while still acknowledging harm?
  • Can we rebuild systems that prioritize care over profit?
  • Who is most vulnerable when things fall apart — and how can we help them?
  • Are we willing to change how we live before the earth forces us to?

๐ŸŒฑ Possible Futures & Flickers of Hope

Let’s not drown in despair. There are paths forward — even if we have to make them ourselves:

1. Climate Workers Are Essential
We need scientists, meteorologists, ecologists — and we should welcome them.

2. Build Differently
Tiny homes. Co-ops. Communal gardens. Repurpose empty buildings. Design for people, not profits.

3. Grow Local, Eat Local
Support farmers. Learn to grow. Build food resilience now.

4. Reclaim Media and Messaging
Use storytelling and art to counter lies and offer truth and beauty. We need meaning.

5. Hold Each Other Up
Whether it’s a blog post, a ride to the food bank, or building a little free library — connection and kindness matter more than ever.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Final Thought

We are caught in the collapse — but we are not powerless.

We can document.
We can organize.
We can imagine and act — and demand something better.

This isn’t just survival.
It’s transformation.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Let’s Talk:

  • What are you seeing in your community?
  • How are you coping?
  • What visions do you hold for the future?

Letter to the Children in Cages

๐Ÿ’” A Letter to the Children in Cages (and the Forgotten Ones Everywhere)

By Tina Winterlik aka Zipolita

Dear Little One,

I don’t know your name. I don’t know where they took you from, or where they’re keeping you now. I don’t know if you're cold, or hungry, or if you’ve already started forgetting how to dream. But I feel you. And I want you to know something:

You are not invisible.

I see you.
We see you.
Even when the world closes its eyes, some of us keep looking—even when it breaks us.

I want to say I'm sorry.
Not because I hurt you directly—but because I didn't stop it.
Because we didn’t stop it.
Because we adults failed to build a world where you are safe just because you’re a child.

You should be chasing butterflies, not fearing footsteps.
You should be painting pictures, not staring at fences.
You should be sleeping in someone’s arms, not on a cold floor.
You should be held—not numbered.

And if no one has told you yet:
You matter.
You are not trash. You are not a burden. You are not broken.

The people who did this to you?
They are the ones lost.
They forgot how to be human.
They lost the thread of kindness.
And now they hide behind policies and borders and lies—because it’s easier than admitting they’re afraid of children who remind them what they’ve lost.

I don't have much power. I don’t have money. I don’t have armies or offices.
But I have words. I have stories. I have my voice.
And with all of that, I say this:

You are loved. You are sacred. You belong to the Earth, and the sky, and the stars—no cage can take that from you.

If you are old enough to understand this letter, hold on.
If you are too young, I hope someone who loves you reads it to you someday.

Until then, I light a candle for you.
I whisper to the wind.
I smoke pot just to breathe.
I try to stay alive long enough to tell your story—to help others remember the children.

And one day, I hope this world is soft enough for you to grow in.
You deserve that. More than anyone.

With all my love,
Tina Winterlik
aka Zipolita
A mother who still believes in miracles
Even through the smoke and tears

Silencing Experts Won’t Silence the Truth

๐ŸŒฟ Silencing Experts Won’t Silence the Truth

Posted by Tina Winterlik | July 5, 2025

“We will never be silent. The Trump administration has placed 139 EPA staffers on leave after they signed a letter of dissent opposing the agency’s current direction and policies. Silencing experts won’t silence the truth.”
— Alt Park Rangers

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is supposed to protect our air, water, land, and climate. Created in 1970, it has long served as a guardian of public health and environmental safety — not just for Americans, but for the planet.

Now that mission is under direct attack.

❌ What Just Happened?

Reports say that the Trump administration placed 139 EPA staffers on leave — because they dared to speak up. They signed a letter opposing the EPA’s current political direction. This is censorship. It’s intimidation. And it’s dangerous.

๐Ÿงช What the EPA Does (or Should Do):

  • Enforce Clean Air and Clean Water Acts
  • Regulate toxic waste, pesticides, and emissions
  • Research and monitor climate change
  • Protect wildlife, forests, and wetlands
  • Respond to public health threats from pollution

When the EPA is silenced, polluters are empowered — and people suffer.

๐Ÿ”ฎ The Future if This Continues

Let’s imagine a timeline if we don’t stop this erosion of environmental protection:

๐Ÿ• 1 Year From Now (2026)

  • Air and water protections are dismantled
  • More fossil fuel mega-projects approved
  • EPA climate scientists gagged or dismissed
  • Dangerous pollutants slip through weakened regulations
  • Cross-border pollution into Canadian lakes, forests, and air

⏳ 2 Years From Now (2027)

  • Asthma and disease increase in low-income & BIPOC communities
  • Extreme weather events become more frequent
  • Environmental data is hidden from the public
  • Forests burn; rivers dry; pipelines leak
  • Canada-U.S. environmental cooperation breaks down

⏱️ 5 Years From Now (2030)

  • Melting glaciers & sea level rise
  • Global biodiversity collapse
  • Climate refugees increase
  • Flooding in low-lying coastal communities (U.S. & Canada)
  • Food supply stress = rising prices, scarcity

๐Ÿ•ฐ️ 10 Years From Now (2035)

  • Daily air warnings become normal
  • Insurance companies stop covering flood/fire zones
  • Rich have access to clean water — others don’t
  • Global food shortages = conflict
  • Mass extinctions, global climate tipping points triggered

๐ŸŒ This Matters to Canadians and the World

Pollution doesn’t stop at borders. Canada shares air, water, trade, and environmental agreements with the U.S. What happens to the EPA affects us all.

When scientists are silenced, it’s not just about politics — it’s about the survival of people, nature, and truth.

✊ What Can We Do?

  • Share this story and speak out against censorship
  • Support whistleblowers and scientists
  • Vote for leaders who respect climate science
  • Organize community resilience (gardens, clean energy, Indigenous knowledge)
  • Demand environmental justice and cross-border cooperation

๐Ÿ’ฌ “Silencing the truth won’t stop climate change. But telling it — loudly, persistently — just might.”

In solidarity with the 139 EPA truth-tellers.

July 4th? Protests Across the U.S. — And They're Not Over Yet

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ What Happened on July 4th? Protests Across the U.S. — And They're Not Over Yet

Posted by Tina Winterlik aka Zipolita
July 5, 2025

This year’s Independence Day looked very different across the United States.

Instead of fireworks and family barbecues, millions of Americans hit the streets in protest. The message? Freedom, democracy, and justice are under threat — and people are rising up to defend them.

From New York to Los Angeles, Salt Lake City to Tampa Bay, citizens gathered in what organizers called a “Free America” movement — resisting the sweeping authoritarian trends many associate with the current Trump administration.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Highlights from the July 4th Protests:

  • Nationwide Mobilization:
Protests were organized by the Women’s March and dozens of grassroots coalitions. These rallies targeted issues such as:

    • Civil rights rollbacks
    • Immigration raids
    • Cuts to Medicaid and social programs
    • Threats to reproductive rights
    • Dismantling of environmental protections
  • Houston Defies Restrictions:
Even after their permit was denied, protestors gathered at City Hall in Houston. It was small but powerful — an impromptu act of defiance.

  • Southern California's Ghost Town Celebrations:
Entire communities, especially in Los Angeles suburbs, canceled July 4 events. Why? Fear of ICE raids and surveillance. People were too scared to gather in public.

  • Creative Resistance:
Across the country, people used music, art, cookouts, and even projection mapping to share messages of hope, unity, and resistance.

๐Ÿ‘ฃ Are Protests Still Happening?

Yes.
Though July 4th was the peak, events continue today — July 5th — and are expected to roll into the weekend. Some are smaller community-led gatherings, while others are coordinated marches.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Why It Matters:

These protests are not just political — they are deeply personal.

People are marching because:

  • They’re scared.
  • They’ve lost access to healthcare.
  • They’ve been targeted by raids.
  • They feel democracy slipping away.

It’s not just one issue. It’s everything. And it’s reaching a boiling point.

๐ŸŒŽ Final Thought from Zipolita:

I often write about justice, human rights, and the struggle to be seen and heard. This movement feels like a warning bell. People are trying to hold on to what little freedom they have left — and they’re doing it with courage, creativity, and conviction.

The protests are not the end. They are the beginning.

Stay informed. Stay strong. ✊๐Ÿฝ

If the Big Ugly Bill Sticks

๐Ÿ”ฎ What Happens If the Big Ugly Bill Sticks?

A Timeline of Collapse, Cruelty, and Consequence

By Zipolita | A Canadian Reflection on a Global Catastrophe

“When America coughs, the world catches pneumonia.”
— Old saying, now more literal than ever.

๐Ÿ“† Year 2 – 2027

The Widening Cracks

  • 18–22 million Americans are uninsured. ERs overflow. People die of preventable diseases.
  • SNAP cuts lead to child hunger levels unseen since the Great Depression. School lunch programs dry up.
  • Homelessness in the U.S. doubles. Some states criminalize sleeping in public outright.
  • Rural hospitals shut down in record numbers—“healthcare deserts” stretch across the Midwest.
  • Wildfires across North America break previous records again. FEMA is underfunded and overrun.
  • The U.S. officially exits global climate agreements. Coal use increases.
  • Canadian provinces feel the strain—cross-border medical and climate refugees put stress on housing and hospitals.
  • Mental health crisis explodes—suicide, addiction, and incarceration rates skyrocket.

๐Ÿ“† Year 5 – 2030

The Global Dominoes Fall

  • A permanent American underclass emerges. No healthcare, no housing, no hope.
  • Privatized systems profit off poverty—insurance premiums soar in Canada and elsewhere as corporations expand control.
  • American children born after 2025 have shorter life expectancies than their parents.
  • AI and automation replace 30% of low-wage jobs. There’s no safety net left.
  • China and India take global climate leadership as U.S. continues rollback of protections.
  • Melting ice caps accelerate. Coastal flooding threatens millions in South Asia and the U.S. Southeast.
  • The Amazon Rainforest becomes a net carbon emitter. Global temperature rises breach 2°C.
  • The U.S. becomes diplomatically isolated—seen as a destabilizing force.
  • In Canada, housing costs rise again due to migration pressures. Immigration policy becomes harsher, stoking political division.
  • Wildlife migration shifts dramatically. Biodiversity collapses in North America.

๐Ÿ“† Year 10 – 2036

The Age of Consequence

  • The U.S. is unrecognizable—a “two-tier nation” where the ultra-wealthy live in walled cities, and everyone else fights for scraps.
  • Hundreds of thousands die each year from climate-related disasters, heat waves, and lack of medical care.
  • U.S. democracy fractures. Multiple states push for secession or radical autonomy.
  • Former middle-class Americans now live in refugee zones, inside their own country.
  • World food systems destabilize. Droughts and floods ravage global grain supplies. Global famine zones expand.
  • Mass extinction accelerates—many animals, fish, birds are gone. Bees are extinct in several regions.
  • Global protests and revolts rise against corporate control and failed government systems.
  • New generations across the world view America not as a leader, but a warning.

❓ Can This Be Stopped?

Yes—but not by silence.
Yes—but not without solidarity across borders.
Yes—but only if we re-learn how to value people more than profit, care more than control, and planet more than politics.

“When cruelty is law, resistance is duty.”

๐ŸŒฑ Share this if you still believe we can choose a better path.

Let’s not look back in 10 years and say,
“We saw it coming, and did nothing.”

One Year Later: The Day After the Big Ugly Bill

๐Ÿ•ฏ️ One Year Later: The Day After the Big Ugly Bill

By Zipolita – A Voice from the North

It’s June 30th, 2026.

The skies are clear, but there’s no joy in the light. The sun beats down harder now—every season runs hotter than the last. The rivers run thinner. The cornfields in Kansas are cracked. The bees are gone. And so are half the clinics in Mississippi.

One year ago today, the United States passed what its architects called “The Big Beautiful Bill.” But history—and the world—will remember it by its true name: The Big Ugly Bill.

In that bill, $930 billion was carved out of the soul of the country—Medicaid, SNAP, environmental protections, public housing, school lunches—all gutted. And with that knife, the richest got richer, and the rest were told to "bootstrap harder."

What followed was not a collapse, but a slow crushing.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ In America: A Dismantled Future

Within six months, 18 million Americans lost their health coverage. Emergency rooms overflowed. Insulin became black market currency. Some turned to Mexico for medicine. Some just... didn’t make it.

A year ago, little Maisie in Ohio got a yearly check-up for free. Today, her mother must choose: rent or the pap smear that could catch the cancer early. She chooses rent. She always does.

Prison populations grew as poverty criminalized itself. Tent cities bloomed like open wounds across every major U.S. city. Suicide rates spiked. Disability applications soared—but approvals plummeted. Entire towns became forgotten.

And the hurricanes? They kept coming. But FEMA no longer had the budget to help.

๐ŸŒŽ The Shockwaves Beyond the Border

In Canada, we felt the tremors too.

When the U.S. slashed clean energy funding, oil barons doubled down. Carbon emissions surged. Alberta's wildfires swallowed whole towns again, this time earlier than ever. Vancouver's skies turned orange. We wore N95s in July.

Canadian ERs filled with American refugees—people crossing the border, sick, scared, bleeding, begging for a system that still believed health care was a right. But we were already stretched thin.

Global food prices rose as U.S. exports shriveled. Farmers in Guatemala watched their coffee crops rot without subsidy buyers. In Africa, famine zones grew where American aid once reached.

The Amazon, no longer protected by climate pacts the U.S. withdrew from, burned freely again.

Fish patterns changed. Coral bleached. Birds stopped returning.

And so did hope, for many.

๐Ÿพ The Animals Knew First

The whales stopped singing near the coast of Maine.

The wolves in Yellowstone, released from silent observation, began hunting closer to towns.

Deer wandered highways more often. More collisions. Fewer survivors.

The animals knew: the balance was broken.

๐Ÿ•Š️ A Voice from the Ashes

From my little room in coastal BC, I watch it all. I document. I draw. I resist. I grieve.

And I remember how it happened: in silence, in back rooms, with clerks reading 900 pages aloud to mostly empty chairs. While the world slept. While senators bargained their souls for campaign cash. While citizens begged and were ignored.

We Canadians may not have voted in that bill. But we live on the same planet. And now, we live in its shadow.

⚠️ The Warning

This isn’t just an American tragedy. It’s a planetary one.

When one nation forgets compassion, others must double down on it.

So I write this to warn you.

If you're reading this in comfort—in power, with voice or platform or even just a pen—know this: we are not safe from indifference. We are not exempt from history. We are not immune from the collapse of empathy.

One year later, I whisper across the border: don’t let your country follow.

๐Ÿ” Share freely. Let’s keep the lights of awareness burning while the grid still works.

When Journalists Are Threatened for Telling the Truth

๐Ÿšจ Orwell Warned Us – When Journalists Are Threatened for Telling the Truth

Something deeply dangerous is happening, and too many people are too distracted to notice.

Recently, Donald Trump said he is considering forcing journalists to reveal their sources if they publish leaked U.S. intelligence — and he added that they could be prosecuted if they don’t comply.

Let that sink in.

This isn’t just about Trump. This is about press freedom, truth, and the core of democracy.

The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution exists for a reason: to protect free speech and freedom of the press. Without journalists being able to report on what governments are doing — especially behind closed doors — we lose our ability to hold power accountable.

Whistleblowers stop speaking. Journalists stop digging. Truth is buried.

And if this all feels eerily familiar, it should.

George Orwell Warned Us

In his book 1984, Orwell described a world where:

  • The government constantly rewrites the past to fit the present.
  • Independent thought is criminalized ("thoughtcrime").
  • Truth-tellers are silenced or erased.
  • A daily “Two Minutes Hate” targets enemies of the state.
  • The media becomes a mouthpiece for the regime.

Sound familiar?

Trump has already labeled the media as “the enemy of the people,” which is authoritarian language used throughout history to discredit and destroy the free press.

In 1984, Orwell writes:

“Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.”

This is exactly what happens when journalists are threatened for revealing government wrongdoing — truth becomes treason, and the people become blind.

Why This Matters Right Now

If the government can:

  • Force journalists to reveal sources
  • Punish them for publishing uncomfortable truths
  • Intimidate newsrooms into silence

Then we no longer have a free press. And without a free press, we don’t have a functioning democracy — we have a controlled narrative, curated by the powerful.

And no, this isn’t just a U.S. problem. In Canada, the UK, and around the world, press freedom is being eroded through legal intimidation, economic pressure, and online disinformation.

So what can we do?

  • Support independent journalism — subscribe, donate, share.
  • Speak out when freedom of speech is under attack.
  • Re-read 1984. Share it with a friend.
  • And ask: If they’re coming after the journalists today, who’s next?

๐Ÿง  Reflection question:
If the truth becomes illegal, how will we ever know what’s really happening?

Stay awake. Stay informed. And don’t be afraid to speak up.
– Zipolita

Why Canada Is Now a Target — And Why You Should Care

๐ŸŽฏ Why Canada Is Now a Target

1. Missile Defense Makes Us a Strategic Military Partner

Canada joining the U.S. missile defense shield means:

  • Our radar systems, satellites, military bases, and territory become part of U.S. planning for nuclear and conventional war.
  • That makes Canadian locations more valuable to U.S. enemies — places to watch, disrupt, or even attack if war escalates.

We’re no longer “neutral.” We’re now active infrastructure in a global conflict web.

2. Our Proximity and Alliances Matter

  • Canada shares the longest land border in the world with the U.S.
  • In war scenarios, North American defense systems treat Canada and the U.S. as one theatre.
  • Any power (like Russia, Iran, China) planning to strike U.S. assets will consider Canadian infrastructure fair game, especially missile defense systems, communications hubs, and Arctic monitoring stations.

3. Political Alignment with Trump Makes Us Politically Vulnerable

Even if most Canadians reject Trump’s worldview, our leaders’ silence and cooperation signal complicity:

  • If Trump bombs Iran or provokes China or Russia, Canada is seen as “with him”—especially since we’ve not just said yes to economic trade, but now military cooperation too.
  • This can lead to cyberattacks, economic retaliation, or even military targeting in a worst-case escalation.

๐Ÿ“Examples of Canadian Sites at Higher Risk Now

Here are the kinds of Canadian sites that become strategic targets due to this alignment:

Location Reason
NORAD bases in North Bay & Colorado Canada co-manages NORAD — now even more important in missile tracking.
CFS Leitrim (Ottawa) Signals intelligence — part of the Five Eyes spy network.
Arctic radar and satellite stations Key for early-warning systems against missile threats.
Vancouver, Halifax ports Critical shipping routes that could be militarized or blocked.
New military buildouts tied to missile defense Not yet public, but rumored due to Canada’s new commitments.

๐Ÿงญ What Can We Do?

You don’t need to panic — but you should speak out and organize. Canada’s identity as a peaceful nation is shifting quietly, and we need citizens like you to hold leaders accountable.

Actions You Can Take:

  • Demand public transparency: What was signed? What do we now host?
  • Ask MPs to debate our role in U.S. defense systems openly in Parliament.
  • Support media that challenges militarization and secrecy.
  • Keep writing and educating others through your blog, your art, your voice.

❤️ Final Thought

You’re right to feel this weight. But you’re not powerless.

The fact that you’re asking these questions, connecting the dots, and caring so deeply — that’s what resistance looks like in the beginning. And the more people you reach, the more this quiet drift toward war can be interrupted.

Standing Up to Trump? Or Selling Us Out?

“Standing Up to Trump? Or Selling Us Out?”

By Tina Winterlik aka Zipolita

June 22, 2025

“Canada Strong,” they said.
“We’ll stand up to Trump,” they promised.
“A new economic and security relationship,” they pledged.

But less than two months after Canadians elected a Liberal government based on those very words, we now see something far more familiar: political theater hiding strategic surrender.

๐Ÿงพ What Really Happened

During the election, Liberal leaders warned that our old relationship with the U.S. was over—that we needed to rethink economic integration and military partnerships. Canadians voted with the belief that our country would chart its own path and resist Trump’s dangerous agenda.

But that didn’t happen.

Instead, reports reveal:

  • Private negotiations and secret calls between the PM and Trump
  • A refusal to retaliate against U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs
  • A quiet reversal of federal policy to join Trump’s $500B missile defense scheme
  • Mark Carney—once presented as Canada’s principled global statesman—now calling Trump a “transformational leader”

๐Ÿ’ฃ What This Means

This isn't just a policy shift. It's a betrayal.

  • We were promised independence, and got deeper entanglement.
  • We were promised courage, and got complicity.
  • We were promised peace, and got missiles.

Canada is now more tightly tied to the U.S. war machine than at any point in recent history—without public debate and without accountability.

๐Ÿ•Š️ Why This Should Scare You

Joining the U.S. missile defense program:

  • Makes Canada a target in future wars
  • Forces us to share military intelligence and technology with a regime acting without international oversight
  • Aligns us with pre-emptive strike doctrine—yes, the one being used right now in Iran

Instead of standing up to Trump, we’re arming ourselves alongside him.

๐Ÿ’ฌ My Thoughts

This makes me feel sick. It makes me feel lied to. But it also makes me feel more determined.

Because we can’t keep quiet while peace is traded for profit.
We can’t accept that secrecy and submission are the cost of diplomacy.
And we won’t forget when the next conflict breaks out and our leaders tell us, “we had no choice.”

๐Ÿšจ Final Word

We always have a choice.
And right now, our leaders are choosing the wrong one—quietly, behind closed doors, hoping we don’t notice.

But I do.

This Is What Putin Wants — And Trump Just Gave It to Him

This Is What Putin Wants — And Trump Just Gave It to Him

By Tina Winterlik aka Zipolita

June 22, 2025

Last night, the United States—under Donald Trump—launched direct, devastating airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. Bunker-buster bombs, stealth bombers, and missile strikes marked the first direct U.S. military engagement in the Israel-Iran conflict.

And now? The entire world holds its breath.

This isn’t strength. This is chaos. This is exactly what Putin wants.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Here’s What Just Happened

  • Trump bombed Iran, targeting three nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—with GBU-57 “bunker-buster” bombs and submarine-launched Tomahawks.
  • He bypassed Congress. No debate. No vote. Just bombs.
  • Iran has already retaliated with missiles, and Israel is bracing for more.
  • The world is teetering on the edge of a regional war, or worse.

๐Ÿค Why Putin Is Smiling

While Trump brags about “obliterating” Iran’s nuclear facilities, Russia and China are watching—and benefiting.

Here’s why:

  • This pulls American attention away from Ukraine.
  • It destabilizes the Middle East—one of the world’s most volatile regions.
  • It undermines global diplomacy, weakens NATO, and divides the West.

When Trump acts unilaterally and without checks, Putin wins.

⚠️ What We Risk Now

This could spark something worse than 9/11:

  • Iran has powerful allies and proxy groups—Hezbollah, the Houthis, and militias in Syria and Iraq.
  • Retaliation may come not just with missiles, but through terrorism, cyberattacks, or sabotage.
  • Civilians in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, and beyond are now in direct danger.
  • And we, in North America, are not immune.

Trump didn’t prevent war—he invited it.

๐Ÿ—ฃ️ I Won’t Stay Silent

I may not have weapons or armies, but I have a voice—and I will use it.

This is not about left vs. right, it’s about life vs. death.

  • It’s about reckless power putting all of us at risk.
  • It’s about calling out lies and holding those responsible accountable.
  • It’s about making sure the next generation has a world worth inheriting.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Final Thoughts

I don't post this to scare you—I post it because we must stay awake. Informed. Brave. Connected.

Even if all I can do is write a blog post, I’ll do it. Because someone out there might read this and understand what's really happening.

We are not helpless. We are not alone. But we must speak now.

FBI Director Blames Vancouver for U.S. Fentanyl Crisis — But the Data Tells a Different Story

๐ŸŒ FBI Director Blames Vancouver for U.S. Fentanyl Crisis — But the Data Tells a Different Story

Date: June 17, 2025
Source: Global News (Amy Judd & Angela Jung)

๐Ÿšจ Once again, Vancouver is being scapegoated by U.S. officials for the fentanyl crisis — despite clear evidence showing otherwise.

๐Ÿ”Ž What Happened

FBI Director Christopher Wray claimed that Vancouver’s drug policies are contributing to the U.S. fentanyl epidemic. He made similar claims before — but they don’t hold up against the facts.

๐Ÿ“‰ What the Evidence Shows

  • ๐Ÿ“Œ Most U.S. fentanyl comes from Mexico, not Canada — often using chemicals from China.
  • ๐Ÿ“Œ The DEA confirms that Mexican cartels are the primary source of fentanyl in the U.S.
  • ๐Ÿ“Œ Fentanyl seizures at the southern U.S. border far outnumber those at the Canadian border.

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ What Vancouver Is Doing

British Columbia is focused on harm reduction to save lives:

  • Safe supply programs
  • Supervised consumption sites
  • Decriminalizing small personal drug possession

๐Ÿ“Š The Real Crisis

Over 100,000 Americans died from drug overdoses last year — mostly from fentanyl. Blaming Canada won’t fix that. It distracts from solutions like treatment access, healthcare reform, and holding drug manufacturers and cartels accountable.

๐Ÿ’ก Why It Matters

  • ๐Ÿšซ Misinformation harms diplomacy and public health.
  • ๐Ÿง  We need evidence-based policy, not finger-pointing.

๐Ÿ“ข CALL TO ACTION

Let's stop the blame game. Support:

  • ✅ Treatment and addiction services
  • ✅ Public health and harm reduction
  • ✅ Honest conversations about drug policy

We Can’t Bomb Our Way to Peace – A Call for Truth

We Can’t Bomb Our Way to Peace – A Call for Truth, Humanity, and Historical Memory

Originally inspired by a powerful post shared via Films for Action:

"Yes, authoritarianism is bad. But war is a thousand times worse.
If you think bombing a country into submission is a path to peace, you’ve been sold the logic of empire."

Iran: A Case Study in Manufactured Chaos

In 1953, the CIA helped overthrow Iran’s democratically elected Prime Minister, Mohammad Mossadegh, who tried to nationalize Iran's oil. The West replaced him with the Shah, leading to decades of dictatorship, secret police, and repression.

The 1979 Iranian Revolution was not simply religious extremism. It was a direct backlash against decades of foreign interference and Western greed. Today, Iran is demonized without recognizing the role the U.S. and U.K. played in shaping the instability.

Israel and Palestine: Layer Upon Layer of Pain

This conflict isn’t ancient history. It’s ongoing colonialism. The Nakba of 1948 displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. Gaza remains under blockade, bombed and impoverished.

Human Rights Watch has condemned Israel’s treatment of Palestinians as apartheid. Condemning Hamas doesn't justify mass punishment of civilians. War crimes do not bring peace.

The U.S.: Empire in Denial

From Vietnam to Iraq, Chile to Afghanistan, the U.S. has destabilized democracies, armed despots, and waged endless war. The logic of empire always serves control and capital.

War Is the Worst Kind of Authoritarianism

War silences dissent. It radicalizes. It turns human beings into targets. True freedom cannot grow where missiles fall. We don’t fight authoritarianism by becoming authoritarian.

What We Can Do

  • Educate yourself on real history (and help others do the same).
  • Support peace organizations like CodePink and World Beyond War.
  • Call out media narratives that normalize war.
  • Demand accountability from your own government.

๐Ÿ•Š️ War is not the answer.
๐ŸŒ Empire is not peace.
❤️ Humanity must come first.

❤️ L’humanitรฉ d’abord.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Truth

☠️ Pirates of the Caribbean: The Truth Behind Columbus, Empire, and the Plague of Greed

By Tina Winterlik aka Zipolita

We grew up with tales of pirates swinging swords, chasing treasure, and sailing the tropical blue seas of the Caribbean. And in school, we were taught to see Christopher Columbus as a brave explorer — not a criminal.

But the truth is far darker.

The Caribbean was ground zero for one of the greatest crimes in human history — colonization. And Columbus wasn’t a hero — he was one of the first gang leaders of empire, launching a wave of murder, enslavement, and greed that swept across the oceans like a plague.

Let’s talk about the real Pirates of the Caribbean — and how their legacy is still with us today.

⚓️ Columbus: Pirate in All But Name

In 1492, Columbus didn’t “discover” anything — he invaded islands already home to millions of Indigenous people like the Taรญno and Arawak. What he and his crew did after landing was not exploration. It was armed robbery, enslavement, rape, and genocide.

  • He forced the Taรญno to bring him gold or face amputation or death.
  • He sold Indigenous children into sexual slavery in Spain.
  • He and his brothers ruled Hispaniola like a mafia — with torture, hangings, and impalement.

Even other colonists eventually reported him for brutality. Columbus was arrested and sent back to Spain in chains. Yes — even the Spanish empire admitted he was too cruel.

But by then, the damage was done. He had opened the floodgates.

๐Ÿด‍☠️ The Caribbean: Birthplace of Empire and Piracy

After Columbus, the Caribbean became the central battleground for European empires fighting over stolen land and stolen wealth:

  • Spain, France, Britain, and the Netherlands all wanted control of the Caribbean’s gold, sugar, and trade routes.
  • To do it, they used conquistadors, slavers, colonists, and yes — pirates.
  • These weren’t charming rogues — they were often armed thieves, enslavers, and killers.

Some were privateers — pirates legally hired by kings to raid enemy ships. Like Sir Francis Drake, celebrated in England but feared as a butcher by Indigenous and African people.

๐Ÿฌ The Sugar-Plague Empire

The Caribbean became rich from sugar, but that sweetness was soaked in blood:

  • Indigenous people were enslaved and worked to death.
  • When their populations collapsed, the colonizers turned to Africa, kidnapping millions of people and forcing them into slavery on plantations.
  • These plantations became the model for slavery in the American South.

The Caribbean wasn’t just about pirates chasing treasure. It was about global capitalism built on forced labor — and the first place this model was tested and spread.

๐Ÿ›ถ Pirate Crews: Between Rebellion and Violence

It’s true that some pirate ships were multi-racial, with democratic rules and pay equality — especially compared to the brutal world of plantations. Many escaped African slaves, Indigenous runaways, and poor European sailors joined pirate crews as a way to survive.

But let’s not romanticize:

  • Pirates still raided towns, burned ships, and often participated in the slave trade.
  • They lived in the chaos created by colonialism, but they were not innocent rebels.

Sometimes they resisted empire. Other times they fed it.

๐Ÿ’ฃ A Spreading Plague

What began in the Caribbean didn’t stay there. It spread like disease:

  • The idea that land was free for the taking, as long as you were armed.
  • The mindset that some lives don’t matter — as long as you profit.
  • The model of plantation wealth and human trafficking became the foundation of the Americas.

This plague of empire reached North America, South America, Africa, and Asia. And it never really ended.

๐Ÿง  Why This Matters Today

  • Columbus is still celebrated in many places — while Indigenous genocide is ignored.
  • The Caribbean still suffers from the economic and ecological scars of colonization.
  • Black and Indigenous peoples across the Americas are still fighting for land, language, and justice.
  • Kids are still taught about “discovery” and “civilization”, not invasion and resistance.

Even the phrase “Pirates of the Caribbean” has been Disneyfied — while the real pirates, profiteers, and empire builders who caused centuries of suffering are barely questioned.

๐ŸŒฑ What We Can Do

  • Tell the truth: Columbus was a war criminal. Piracy was often a tool of empire.
  • Uplift real histories: Learn about the Taรญno, Garifuna, Maroons, and Afro-Caribbean resistance.
  • Support decolonization: Indigenous and Afro-Caribbean communities are still calling for land return, reparations, and cultural justice.
  • Question the myths: Every time you see Columbus statues, pirate flags, or textbooks about “discovery” — challenge the narrative.

They came for gold, but found people.
They said the land was empty, but it was full of life.
They tried to erase the truth — but the truth is rising.

Watching With Pride and Concern

As a Canadian, ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆWatching With Pride and Concern

As a Canadian, I just want to say how incredibly proud I am to witness people across the United States standing up, speaking out, and showing up in the face of so much fear and uncertainty. From state to state, city to city — the courage, the creativity, the solidarity — it’s deeply moving.

But I’m also scared. I see the abuse. I see the intimidation, the threats, the manipulation of laws meant to protect twisted into tools of oppression. I see the fear in people’s eyes — but I also see the fire.

You’re standing up for truth, for democracy, for each other. You’re pushing back against cruelty with compassion, against corruption with clarity. And even though I’m across the border, I feel it. Many of us do. We’re watching. We care.

Your bravery reminds us all of what’s at stake and what’s worth fighting for. Please stay safe. Keep documenting. Keep organizing. Keep resisting. The world is watching, and many of us are with you — heart, mind, and soul.

With love and solidarity,

Tribute to Melissa Hortman — From Canada, With Love and Grief

๐Ÿ’” They Killed Her Because She Stood for What’s Right

A Tribute to Melissa Hortman — From Canada, With Love and Grief

By Tina Winterlik aka Zipolita

I’m writing this with tears in my eyes and fear in my heart.

On June 14, 2025, Melissa Hortman, a dedicated Minnesota lawmaker, a wife, a mother, a champion for justice, and her husband Mark were murdered in their own home — targeted for their political beliefs and the work they did to build a better world.

This wasn’t random. This wasn’t senseless.

They killed her because she was powerful in all the right ways.
She stood up for Trans rights, for climate action, for workers, for families, for equity. She refused to be silent. And someone, filled with hate and wearing a fake police uniform, came to silence her — forever.

And from where I sit, just north of the border in Canada, I am shaken to my core.

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ From Canada: We Are Watching

We’re watching, dear American friends.
We’ve watched for years as the hatred grew louder — fed by lies, fueled by Trumpism, normalized by silence.
And now it’s erupting in murder.

You allowed the flames to rise. You let one man — and a whole movement — weaponize fear, target kindness, and attack truth.

We’ve seen this hate before. We know what it can do. And yet somehow, it was allowed to grow in plain sight — even encouraged.

And to Canadians: don’t think this can’t happen here.

We were so close with Pierre Poilievre. So close to giving hate a stage in our own Parliament.
Still now, people cling to ignorance, conspiracy, and cruelty, calling it “freedom” while forgetting what that word truly means.

Shame on hate. Shame on silence. Shame on those who knew better but stayed quiet.

๐Ÿ’ก This Could Be You. This Could Be Me.

Melissa was just doing her job.
Serving the people.
Standing up for what’s right.
Isn’t that what we want our leaders to do?

She didn’t carry a weapon.
She carried compassion.
And that made her dangerous in the eyes of cowards.

It could have been any of us — an activist, a journalist, a queer person, an ally, a dreamer, a parent, a human being trying to make this world gentler, greener, more just.

And if we don't speak now, who will be next?

๐Ÿ•Š️ In Her Memory — Let’s Be Brave

We cannot bring Melissa and Mark back.
But we can honour them with courage.

Let’s say the names.
Let’s share the truth.
Let’s hold our leaders — and ourselves — accountable.

To the American people:
What have you allowed?
To Canadians:
What will you do to stop it from happening here?

This isn’t just about politics anymore.
It’s about humanity.
And right now, it’s hanging by a thread.

๐Ÿ“ธ Post her photo.
๐Ÿ“ฃ Speak her name.
๐Ÿ–Š️ Tell the truth.
๐Ÿ’ฌ Start the conversations.
๐Ÿ“Don’t let this be forgotten.

Melissa Hortman.
Killed for standing up.
Let’s stand in her place now.

Watching from Canada – June 14th in the U.S. Feels Historic

Watching from Canada – June 14th in the U.S. Feels Historic

As a Canadian watching all this unfold, I have to say I’m very curious what will happen on June 14th in the United States.

Trump’s throwing a giant military parade for his birthday and the U.S. Army’s anniversary – but instead of being a unifying event, it feels like a test. A showdown. And from the outside looking in, it seems more about power and control than patriotism.

He’s warned that protesters will face “very heavy force.”
Let that sink in. A former (and maybe future?) president warning the public not to dissent… or else.

But here’s the powerful part: over 1,500 “No Kings Day” events are being organized across the country to peacefully say “no thanks” to authoritarianism. That’s incredible. People are standing up – without stepping into the trap he’s set in D.C.

And while that’s happening… the Pope—an American Pope no less—is holding a sold-out virtual event in Chicago. Talk about timing. Talk about symbolism.

You know what I keep thinking about? That moment when everyone was encouraged to post photos of Obama—those hopeful, inspiring, joyful shots. Why not do the same now?

Post Kamala Harris photos. Celebrate what could have been. Like Elon Musk even said—Kamala would have won if he hadn’t “rigged it” for Trump. (His words, not mine!) Let’s not forget that Trump isn’t just running—he’s still under investigation, still feeding division, still pushing a dangerous narrative.

And yet people walk by the real danger every day—billionaires laundering cash in real estate, gambling away fortunes in casinos—then clutch their pearls at unhoused folks or those suffering from addiction. It’s all connected.

So this June 14th… I’ll be watching.
From Canada.
From the heart.
And I’ll be hoping people stand strong, peaceful, and proud—refusing to be ruled by fear.

Post your photos.
Share your truth.
No more kings.

BBC: This Isn’t Reporting — It’s Framing Dissent as Danger A Callout with Receipts

Share and Be Aware!! Do BETTER!!

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ”ฅ BBC: This Isn’t Reporting — It’s Framing Dissent as Danger
A Callout with Receipts

We need to talk about how the BBC is helping normalize militarized repression and undermine peaceful protest. Their headlines are not neutral. They’re loaded. Let’s break it down:

๐Ÿ“ฐ BBC Headline #1:

“The Pentagon confirms it is activating 700 Marines in the Los Angeles area to help the federal response to protests against immigration raids.”

๐Ÿ” Why it's dangerous:
This headline blurs the line between protest and threat. Activating military troops on U.S. soil is not standard procedure — it's an extreme escalation. But the BBC frames it like routine support. It erases the constitutional crisis of using Marines against civilians.

๐Ÿ“ฐ BBC Headline #2:

“Donald Trump has defended his decision to deploy the National Guard while California Governor Gavin Newsom sues the administration over the move.”

๐Ÿ” Why it misleads:
This headline makes it about a political feud, not a human rights issue. It distracts from the real question: Is this deployment legal or ethical?

๐Ÿ“ฐ BBC Headline #3:

“In a possible sign of further escalation, Newsom claims he has been informed that Trump will be sending another 2,000 National Guard troops to LA.”

๐Ÿ” Why it stokes fear:
Instead of reporting the peaceful nature of many protests, the BBC focuses on "escalation," priming readers for conflict and fear. It echoes the government's framing — not the people’s.

๐Ÿ“ฐ BBC Headline #4:

“Demonstrations began outside in downtown LA on Friday after it emerged Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were carrying out raids across the city.”

๐Ÿ” Why it minimizes impact:
“After it emerged” makes it sound casual or bureaucratic. No — ICE raids tear families apart. Say it like it is: people protested because their communities were under attack.

๐Ÿ“ฐ BBC Headline #5:

“Our correspondent Carl Nasman is at a protest which has been declared to be an unlawful assembly – watch live from the scene.”

๐Ÿ” Why it's biased:
Labeling a protest “unlawful” without questioning the legitimacy of the declaration sides with authority. It sets up viewers to view protestors as dangerous, rather than defending rights.

๐Ÿ“ฐ BBC Headline #6:

“Trump’s earlier deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops triggered a political row – Newsom and LA mayor Karen Bass insisted local police could handle the protests.”

๐Ÿ” Why it distracts:
Another “political row.” No mention of community leaders, legal experts, protestors, or civil rights orgs. The BBC reduces mass mobilization to a spat between elites.

๐Ÿ“ฐ BBC Headline #7:

“It is highly unusual for US military troops to be involved in domestic law enforcement.”

๐Ÿ” Why this one almost tells the truth:
Yes — it is highly unusual. But this fact is buried deep, rather than emphasized from the start. Why isn’t this the lead story?

๐Ÿ“ฐ BBC Headline #8:

“One thing about the battle over immigration and law and order is clear: escalation feels almost inevitable,” writes chief North America correspondent Gary O'Donoghue.

๐Ÿ” Why this is harmful:
“Escalation feels almost inevitable.” Not because of protestors — but because the media keeps repeating it. This headline doesn’t report facts. It predicts violence, creating the atmosphere for repression.

๐ŸŽฏ Final Word:

BBC, you had a choice:
To center the families torn apart by ICE…
To amplify the voices of peaceful protestors…
To question military use against civilians…

But instead, you chose fear, framing, and fluffing the state’s narrative.

We see through it.

๐Ÿ›‘ We will call it out.
๐Ÿ›‘ We won’t let you normalize this.

Do better. Journalism should speak truth to power — not protect it.

Call it what it is. This is not an insurrection. ๐Ÿšจ

๐Ÿšจ Call it what it is. This is not an insurrection. ๐Ÿšจ

Trump just told reporters at the White House that the peaceful protesters in Los Angeles are “insurrectionists.” That’s false and dangerous.

๐Ÿ”ด January 6 was an insurrection. ✊๐Ÿฝ These are protests. People are standing up against ICE raids, family separations, and militarized overreach.

By using the word "insurrection," Trump may be setting the stage to invoke the 1807 Insurrection Act — a law that allows the president to deploy the military against American citizens.

๐Ÿ“ข Trump also claimed L.A. would have been “obliterated” without the National Guard. That’s absurd. The Guard did not engage the crowds. They stood outside a federal building where ICE detainees were being held. Crowd control was handled by LAPD and California Highway Patrol, not the military.

And in a chilling moment, he even suggested arresting Governor Newsom.

๐Ÿ›‘ This is not leadership.
This is authoritarianism.
This is gaslighting.
This is an attempt to create chaos to justify a crackdown.

๐Ÿ“ข Ele tambรฉm disse que Los Angeles teria sido “aniquilada” sem a Guarda Nacional. Isso รฉ absurdo. A Guarda nรฃo interveio no controle da multidรฃo. Eles apenas ficaram em frente ao prรฉdio federal onde os detidos do ICE estavam sendo mantidos. O controle foi feito pela polรญcia de L.A. e pela patrulha rodoviรกria da Califรณrnia.

E, de forma autoritรกria, ele chegou a sugerir prender o governador Newsom.

๐Ÿ›‘ Isso nรฃo รฉ lideranรงa.
Isso รฉ autoritarismo.
Isso รฉ manipulaรงรฃo.
ร‰ uma tentativa de criar o caos para justificar repressรฃo.

We See You. We’re Watching. We’re With You. ✊

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ We See You. We’re Watching. We’re With You. ✊

From across the border, we see what’s happening.
We see your courage. We see the injustice.
We see the fear and the strength it takes to rise anyway.

We may be in Canada, but our hearts are with you — every step, every chant, every peaceful stand.

We’re watching closely. We’re praying for your safety. And we want to echo the message that’s coming from those with experience in these moments:

๐Ÿ›‘ Don’t take the bait.

They’re trying to provoke violence — hoping that one broken window, one spark of rage, will let them call for a crackdown.

They want footage they can twist.
They want to paint you as the problem.
Don’t let them.

๐Ÿ•Š️ Stay peaceful. Stay united.

Your power is in your truth.
Your strength is in your numbers.
Your victory will come from your discipline.

We know it’s hard.
We’ve seen reports of MAGA extremists trying to intimidate protesters — driving into crowds, flashing weapons, even targeting journalists.
We’ve seen threats to elected officials and Trump attempting to use military force against peaceful people.

This isn’t leadership. It’s desperation.
And desperate people lash out when they feel power slipping through their fingers.

๐Ÿ“ฝ️ They want another January 6th. Don’t give it to them.

We all remember what happened then.
We remember the violence.
We remember who stormed the Capitol and who stood silent — or cheered.

We also remember the peaceful marches, the unity, the art, the resistance that inspired the world.

That’s what wins. That’s what lasts.

๐Ÿ“… June 14th is coming. Make it count.

Nationwide protests are planned. Let the numbers speak. Let your voices rise in peace, power, and purpose.

Let them see millions standing strong — and staying calm.

As a Canadian watching with deep love and hope:
You’ve got this.
Stay sharp. Stay peaceful. Stay true.
