Watching from Canada – June 14th in the U.S. Feels Historic
As a Canadian watching all this unfold, I have to say I’m very curious what will happen on June 14th in the United States.
Trump’s throwing a giant military parade for his birthday and the U.S. Army’s anniversary – but instead of being a unifying event, it feels like a test. A showdown. And from the outside looking in, it seems more about power and control than patriotism.
He’s warned that protesters will face “very heavy force.”
Let that sink in. A former (and maybe future?) president warning the public not to dissent… or else.
But here’s the powerful part: over 1,500 “No Kings Day” events are being organized across the country to peacefully say “no thanks” to authoritarianism. That’s incredible. People are standing up – without stepping into the trap he’s set in D.C.
And while that’s happening… the Pope—an American Pope no less—is holding a sold-out virtual event in Chicago. Talk about timing. Talk about symbolism.
You know what I keep thinking about? That moment when everyone was encouraged to post photos of Obama—those hopeful, inspiring, joyful shots. Why not do the same now?
Post Kamala Harris photos. Celebrate what could have been. Like Elon Musk even said—Kamala would have won if he hadn’t “rigged it” for Trump. (His words, not mine!) Let’s not forget that Trump isn’t just running—he’s still under investigation, still feeding division, still pushing a dangerous narrative.
And yet people walk by the real danger every day—billionaires laundering cash in real estate, gambling away fortunes in casinos—then clutch their pearls at unhoused folks or those suffering from addiction. It’s all connected.
So this June 14th… I’ll be watching.
From Canada.
From the heart.
And I’ll be hoping people stand strong, peaceful, and proud—refusing to be ruled by fear.
Post your photos. Share your truth. No more kings.
Joint Statement from the Department of
Justice, the Department of the Army and the Department of the Interior
Regarding Standing Rock Sioux Tribe v. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
The
Department of Justice, the Department of the Army and the Department of
the Interior issued the following statement regarding Standing Rock Sioux Tribe v. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers: “We appreciate
the District Court’s opinion on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’
compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act. However,
important issues raised by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and other
tribal nations and their members regarding the Dakota Access pipeline
specifically, and pipeline-related decision-making generally, remain.
Therefore, the Department of the Army, the Department of Justice, and
the Department of the Interior will take the following steps.
The Army will
not authorize constructing the Dakota Access pipeline on Corps land
bordering or under Lake Oahe until it can determine whether it will need
to reconsider any of its previous decisions regarding the Lake Oahe
site under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) or other federal
laws. Therefore, construction of the pipeline on Army Corps land
bordering or under Lake Oahe will not go forward at this time. The Army
will move expeditiously to make this determination, as everyone
involved — including the pipeline company and its workers — deserves a
clear and timely resolution. In the interim, we request that the
pipeline company voluntarily pause all construction activity within 20
miles east or west of Lake Oahe.
“Furthermore, this case has highlighted the need for a serious
discussion on whether there should be nationwide reform with respect to
considering tribes’ views on these types of infrastructure projects.
Therefore, this fall, we will invite tribes to formal,
government-to-government consultations on two questions: (1) within the
existing statutory framework, what should the federal government do to
better ensure meaningful tribal input into infrastructure-related
reviews and decisions and the protection of tribal lands, resources, and
treaty rights; and (2) should new legislation be proposed to Congress
to alter that statutory framework and promote those goals.
“Finally, we fully support the rights of all Americans to assemble
and speak freely. We urge everyone involved in protest or pipeline
activities to adhere to the principles of nonviolence. Of course,
anyone who commits violent or destructive acts may face criminal
sanctions from federal, tribal, state, or local authorities. The
Departments of Justice and the Interior will continue to deploy
resources to North Dakota to help state, local, and tribal authorities,
and the communities they serve, better communicate, defuse tensions,
support peaceful protest, and maintain public safety.
“In recent days, we have seen thousands of demonstrators come
together peacefully, with support from scores of sovereign tribal
governments, to exercise their First Amendment rights and to voice
heartfelt concerns about the environment and historic, sacred sites. It
is now incumbent on all of us to develop a path forward that serves the
broadest public interest.”
The Standing Rock Sioux are the original inhabitants of what is now North Dakota, and we applaud this administration for recognizing their inalienable right to self-determination of their tribal homelands. While we are troubled this situation even reached this level of contention, we are grateful that it is now sparking meaningful conversations never held at this level of government – conversations that actually take into consideration the needs and wishes of tribes when it comes to infrastructure projects such as the Dakota Access Pipeline. http://anadisgoi.com/archive/1376-chief-baker-issues-statement-on-standing-rock-ruling
WOW, it doesn't seem real. I am pinching myself. This is GREAT!! What

This is really great news.

BREAKING VICTORY: President Obama has rejected the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline!!!
This is a historic victory that sets the standard for climate action by
keeping millions of tons of carbon underground. And it's a victory for
the people: the President's courage today is a reflection of the courage
of thousands of people who stood up to fight this project.
We
want to thank everyone who fought to make this victory happen. Add your
name to the Keystone XL Movement Thank You Card to help celebrate making
history: http://350.org/thankyou
"The Obama administration rejected TransCanada's application to build
the Keystone XL pipeline on Friday, three individuals familiar with the
decision said, capping a seven-year saga that became an environmental
flashpoint in both Canada and the U.S.
President Barack Obama was to announce the decision at the White House
after meeting with Secretary of State John Kerry. The individuals
confirming Obama's decision weren't authorized to comment publicly and
spoke on condition of anonymity.
Killing the pipeline allows Obama to claim aggressive action on the
environment, potentially strengthening his hand as world leaders prepare
to finalize major global climate pact within weeks that Obama hopes
will be a crowning jewel for his legacy. Yet it also puts the president
in a direct confrontation with Republicans and energy advocates that
will almost surely spill over into the 2016 presidential election. Read more here
As the horrors of the Ukraine spread across the news, social media is asked to help spread the word. I was just watching the 3 Amigos Summit, and Stephen Harper actually said something that I respected and that was the following:
http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/harper-obama-speak-at-three-amigos-summit-1.2543468
"During their meeting, Harper and Obama discussed and strongly
condemned the violence taking place on the streets of Ukraine, agreeing
that the Ukrainian government is responsible for protecting its people
and upholding the universal right to freedom of expression.
They also agreed that the military should be showing restraint, and
should refrain from becoming involved in issues that should be resolved
by civilians. Both resolved to work closely with European allies on
options for additional measures."
From the internet I found this video
Social Media has been called upon to spread the word and help. This link shares images from Twitter. Be prepared for graphic images but these are real people, these could be your parents, grandparents, looking at them makes me turn and gasp and cry out ..."how horrible, why...???". It will shock you but make you feel the impact more than the filtered images on the news.
Please now I ask you to watch the video above and to say prayers and think positive peaceful thoughts that this horrible situation can be resolved and there will be peace.
Please God send in the angels...many many angels.
And I think it is a good time to watch and share this video "A Message of Hope" once again. Let there be hope!
Have you seen The Last Mimzy? It's this wonderful show that has a powerful message. If you haven't seen it I just want to warn you with a Spoil Alert, as I'm going to talk about it here.
Here's a preview.
Wow I get goosebumps when she says "something in them is broken and we have to fix it"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From WikipediaThe Last Mimzy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Mimzy
The Plot
Presented as a memory flashback by a woman named Lena, The Last Mimzy is the story of a distant future's attempt to avert a catastrophic ecological disaster that has destroyed their world. High tech devices, masquerading as toys, are sent back in time into the hands of Noah and Emma, two children who live with their parents Jo (Joely Richardson) and David (Timothy Hutton) in early 21st century Seattle. The "toys" are mostly incomprehensible to Emma (Rhiannon Leigh Wryn) and Noah (Chris O'Neil), except for what appears to be a stuffedrabbit named Mimzy. Sensing the strangeness of the devices, the children initially keep their discovery a secret from their parents. Read more here
"Mimzy has brought a message from humanity's distant future, which Emma explains to mean that pollution has corrupted humanity's DNA. Many rabbits like Mimzy were sent to the past, but none had successfully returned; Mimzy is the last one remaining." Read more here
Today I have been very busy and I just got around to checking my Facebook now. I'm tired, I've been working on the computer all morning but what I just read can not be overlooked or left for later.
This link was shared with me and it totally freaked me out. It is so bizarre. I did a ton of work yesterday, both on the computer and spring cleaning. Yet I couldn't sleep and got up and took a very long hot bath. While in there I was meditating. I do my best meditating in the bathtub for some reason. A lot of amazing thoughts transpired during this time.
So that is why to read this news right now is so very very disturbing.

(Update 2017. )Apparently according to snopes this was a hoax but makes you go hmmmm....but we know the truth about snopes...right.
Russia Warns Obama: Monsanto
"The
shocking minutes relating to President Putin’s meeting this past week
with US Secretary of State John Kerry reveal the Russian leaders
“extreme outrage” over the Obama regimes continued protection of global
seed and plant bio-genetic giants Syngenta and Monsanto in the face of a
growing “bee apocalypse” that the Kremlin warns “will most certainly”
lead to world war." Read more here
"At
the center of this dispute between Russia and the US, this MNRE report
says, is the “undisputed evidence” that a class of neuro-active
insecticides chemically related to nicotine, known as neonicotinoids,
are destroying our planets bee population, and which if left unchecked
could destroy our world’s ability to grow enough food to feed its
population." Read more here
And if they don't, could the outrage over what has been done cause a world war. http://topinfopost.com/2013/05/28/russia-warns-obama-monsanto I am 51 yet my child is only 10. This shakes me. Ever since I was a child I heard stories of World Wars and I watched the Vietnam war on television. When I was Angel's age I remember saying to my mom, pleading with her, why couldn't they bring those men home. Just yesterday I was explaining to her about the show M.A.S.H. a show that came on about that time, only it was based on the Korean war. I was explaining to Angel that I believed they used humor and sarcasm to show the horror of the Korean war because back then you couldn't say much politically on television or you would get in trouble...like The Smothers Brothers did.
Thank goodness we have Social Media. Right now it looks like our only hope in some ways. Anyways, I don't want to be afraid. In my visions last night there were many messages and the main one near the end is about meditating. Meditating for peace. My meditation also told me to be grateful and to be forgiving. To send out abundance to all, even those who have hurt me or upset me...that those most of all I must send healing positive energy. It made me think about about the things I've been posting about Stephen Harper and others whom I am so upset by with the oil and tar sands and the pipeline. But being negative will not help.
I believe that we must be positive. This is a tried and tested method. When you send out bad energy it ricochets and flies right back at you. Let me tell you that the other day I was stressed and broke...completely. I was wondering where, where could I get some work, cash, money, food and other necessities. I meditated and then amazingly a miracle happened. And I was very grateful for the miracle but the miracle didn't just happen, it was because I was sending out love and positive energy to all that a job came and I was able to get a new computer and camera. (both broke while traveling in Mexico from the heat and salty air I guess.) So I guess my message is please we must unite on this. We must pray and send positive energy to all, especially the people that upset us more. Pray that they will be healed, that the will see the light, that they will change their ways and help save this world instead of destroying it. Won't you join me.
I know I have posted and re-posted this video but it's so powerful. Be sure to watch the second one too. One thing my meditation told me was to create videos to help people meditate. I have so many beautiful photos that I am definitely going to do this.
It's interesting because I had my tarot cards read while in Mexico. It was just a brief reading. It was my first time and the person doing it did not speak English as a first language so it was simpler to keep it simple. But what he told me was profound. That I was supposed to do something...and that wasn't for myself but for humanity, something big.
Well I believe this is it. This is the big thing. I need to convince you all to meditate daily but more important that we meditate together so that we can be POWERFUL together. So we can create the change needed so that THE LAST MIMZY doesn't come true!
So just a final note, a lot of other things have happened lately to re-confirm my faith in many things. My spiritual beliefs are personal so I will not share them here but I am wondering have you sensed this lately. I'd be interested to hear your experiences if you care to share.
I truthfully did not follow the campaigns at all. I have been here in Mexico and have no TV access and well I just didn't follow it on the internet either. I felt powerless and so I just let it all happen and waited for the results.
I know people were sick and tired of all the campaigning at the end. You could hear it loud and clear on Facebook and Twitter.
I had read that Obama would win by a small margin, at one point it looked like Romney was going to win when watching the stats, but then the next minute Obama was ahead and then he won.
On Twitter he tweeted this Four more years.
It became the most tweeted tweet EVER!
While watching and waiting for Obama's acceptance speech on my computer (which took forever) in my room in Zipolite, way down south in Oaxaca Mexico( which is pretty amazing when you think of it) http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/cvplive/cvpstream2 I followed my Facebook.
and someone blogged about "Obama Declares Election Victory Via Email And Tweet Before Speech" - http://bit.ly/TJNQsy
which is interesting and tells where we are with Social Media & technology today!
I was psyched to hear that
Amendment 64 Passes: Colorado Legalizes Marijuana For Recreational Use
Legalize marijuana by removing marijuana from the drug schedule.
Create a regulatory framework for the safe production of marijuana by small, independent growers.
Develop a taxation rate for marijuana similar to that of tobacco.
Establish the sale of marijuana to adults for medicinal or personal use through licensed distribution outlets.
Educate the public about the health threats of marijuana, tobacco and other drug use.
Provide
increased funding to safe injection sites, treatment facilities and
addict rehabilitation which have now proven to be economically and
socially in the best interests of the country.
And STOP the STUPID War on Drugs!!
The only war on drugs we should have is the on the pharmaceutical companies but that's another whole battle. Someone told the most money in the world is spent on weapons the 2nd is on pharmaceuticals. Obviously it's time people woke up and changed to a more holistic and organic lifestyle of more indigenous traditions.
I was SUPER HAPPY to see that Maryland, Maine and Washington APPROVED EQUAL MARRIAGE. Wow!! that took a long time, United States your finally getting there.
There were some funny tweets last night, here was one of my faves. Funny Tweet
@TimWilliamsPGH
So, Big Bird keeps his job at PBS. Bert & Ernie can finally get
married. Grover, Oscar, & the Count can smoke 1, 2, 3, 4 joints. Ah
ah ah!
I don't quite get the whole big bird thing, I missed it, I saw a photo of someone dressed as Big Bird going to vote but maybe someone can explain all that to me.
This tweet is really relevant For Sure!!
EarthMatter @EarthDefendah
RT @ecoforumorg @Ellenerlanger Now we need to ensure that #Obama doesn't compromise or renege on his #green and... http://bit.ly/PCwOMt
I don't know much about Romney but I saw a few things that lead me to believe are views are completely opposite on many issues, but I was on the fence for Obama (not like a get any choice in this matter except to express my views) because I heard he's in favor of the Enbridge Pipeline!
That upsets me and I sure hope that he's not!! and I hope that he'll rethink all that because the Enbridge Pipeline is the stupidest, most detrimental proposal ever. I won't even get started on that. You can read some of my posts on it if you want.
Photos: Donald Trump is... The Sorest Loser
Donald Trump was not happy about President Barack Obama winning four
more years in the White House, and he took to Twitter to voice his
frustrations. Though he has deleted several of his post-election tweets,
we were able to capture them just in time. Maybe his next reality show
could be called The Sorest Loser? See his tweets here: http://bit.ly/SzXSJQ
From Twitter
"We can't let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided!," he wrote.
"Lets fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice! The world is laughing at us. (sic)"
When I saw this I tweeted "Omgosh, how sad! The world is not laughing at you it's clapping for you!"
I was so tired waiting for Obama's speech. It was fun seeing all the happy people while watching CNN Live http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/cvplive/cvpstream2 but it was after 12am in Mexico and I was exhausted.
Obama just took stage to Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered"
Which was sort of cool. All the music was really good and that was nice but like I said long.
I guess because he wait a long time for Romney to concede and then whatever phone calls he had to make and who knows but finally he made his speech and it was good.
I like that he said the that after 10 years of war it was almost over. Thank God!
And how he really tried to reach out to the average working person and about the health care system is working, it sounds like that with the changes about and these things that are happening the US is progressing and healing again. So kudos to Obama for a good speech and Kudos to the people for voting to legalize marijuana and legalize equal marriage.
Like I said I hope that Obama keeps "green" and that the US really tries to stop using oil and look for alternatives.
I hope the whole world works on that for that matter.
And with that I want to share the videos below because these gentleman really discuss some very relevant info on where we are in this universe in the scheme of things and what we have to do to get there.
There is no shortage of ideas, inventions, and technological advances
focused on alleviating the environmental and social crises we are
increasingly being asked to address. It would be nice to believe that
technology, legislation, and lifestyle choices are both the cause, and
the answer, to these problems, and that if we implement enough action in
the right direction, and employ enough grit and determination, we just
might be able to move off the unsustainable, unjust track we’re on.
A Widespread Crisis of Consciousness
In this compelling video series, two visionaries – Duane Elgin,
author of many books including “Voluntary Simplicity;” and Peter
Russell, also an author whose work focuses on consciousness and
spiritual awakening – explore the idea that real change won’t happen if
we merely implement fixes in external world. Read more here http://www.pachamama.org/blog/addressing-the-root-change-starts-within
And to help you find a little peace and if you need a place to chill out after all the campaigning then check out the Meditation Point at Shambhala in Zipolite Mexico. http://shambhalavision.blogspot.mx/
Okay and with that I want to tell you it's still really quiet down here, people are starting to arrive but it's super beautiful and peaceful and the people of Zipolite are waiting for you. I made this video 2 months ago now but it will give you a good idea about what this little town looks like.
While yesterday we were enjoying the beautiful celebration of William and Kate, terrible things happened in Tuscaloosa,I am sending prayers for the people who lost their lives and for the ten-fold of people who loved those people and are scared, and hurt and trying to pick up the pieces and carry on.
Seeing the videos and destruction and thinking about the frightened children and their parents and the impact it will have on their lives just makes me feel like crying.
Nature is violent as she is calm. What can we learn, what have we learned. It's obvious the storms getting worse from the global warming, but is it also a combo of things, like people in growing numbers building their homes in this area known for tornados.
Like Wizard of OZ and Dorothy, people used to climb down into the root cellar, is their something we can learn from that.
In Mexico, my friend Gloria, so told me that after HURRICANE Pauline, that it was the round buildings that survived.
Can we change our structures, what can we do to cope with these disasters, and lessen their impact.
Today I Want to send an Angel to Alabama, to all those souls who have passed and all the frightened souls who remain. We love you! We are praying for you!!
