Zipolite's Embrace

 Zipolite's Embrace

by Tina Winterlik with help of AI

From the Blog Adventurez in Mexico

https://adventurezinmexico.blogspot.com

In Oaxaca's heart, Zipolite lies,

With crashing surf and tranquil skies.

A laid-back haven by the sea,

A perfect place to simply be.

International souls gather here,

For days, weeks, months, they hold dear.

Locals lovely, warm and kind,

A gentle peace you'll surely find.

Always something, yet nothing much,

A mellow rhythm, a soothing touch.

Visit Shambhala, taste the fare,

Views that take you everywhere.

Don't miss Meditation Loma's crest,

Sunset paints the sky its best.

Zipolite calls, with calm and grace,

A sanctuary, a peaceful space.

New Year’s Celebration- Shambhala- Zipolite, Oaxaca Mexico

I have been.
I've been blessed.
That is how I felt after attending this truly beautiful ceremony. It touched my heart, my soul. I was so blessed my child and I could attend together. Even more blessed to know Gloria and Shambhala.

I am missing it tonight. I makes me sad. I know the momentous task that they all take on every year preparing the flowers, crowns, the decorations, food and just everything that goes into preparing this and on very little funds. I seriously do not know how Gloria makes it happen every year. She is AMAZING!

It's magic. Miracles make it happen or maybe we should say it's a MIRACLE! After you have been, that's what it feels like...like you have been blessed with miracles.

Every year I plan to get back but it isn't happening tonight...
As I write this from Kitsilano, Vancouver Canada,  the snow is really coming down.

So I send you love and light and pray that next year I will join you and that 2017 is a beautiful year, with love and many victories for peace and the environment.

And for you, I ask that you take a moment and send back the love they are generating tonight and let's heal this cRaZy mixed up world...for our children, and our children's children.

Happy New Year!!
Sending out love, light and peace!
Thank you Gloria!! Thank you!!

New Year’s Celebration

Our celebration consists of a ceremony to CLEAN OUR SPIRITS. Our true being is a pure spirit and this night we will try to give total expression to our humanity, united in LOVE AND PEACE. This is an offering to God: The Divine Intelligence.

We have chosen the essence of each philosophy and religion of the world. Because each of them has his own truth we respect.

The symbol of our soul is the flower, and we bring it to the fire with all the negativity that we have inside us in the form of a tree of life that we will construct during celebration.

Fairies Pyjamas -Vancouver Folk Music Festival - July 17-19

The Fairies Pyjamas is a clothing brand of unique clothing and accessories.
Designer and Owner, Michelle Lynn Johnson works with a FAIR TRADE manufacturing facility in Nepal to produce her designs and ideas.

Inspiration for this ever-evolving project has grown from music festivals, travelling and the notion of sustainable consumer culture. Now more then ever, consumers can use their buying power to support what they believe in. Fairies Pjs designs help skilled Nepalese workers support their families, increase their living standards, and work in an environment with enforced health and safety standards.

When you support FAIR TRADE you support the health and dignity of all people.

We went to Folk Fest on Friday night and well we had to go back today because Angel saw a jacket she just had to have.  One minute I had this perfectly happy cherub, next minute she was miserable.

All it took was to see the most beautiful jacket the fits absolutely perfect and then to be told, no sorry we can't get it right now. But it all worked out. Thanks so much to Fairies Pyjamas, we had a lot of fun visiting again today to pick up the jacket and make this video of all the fun. Thanks again!!

For all of you, whether you have a ticket or not, the back side of the Festival is where all the venders are and they have gorgeous items at incredible prices. You have to stop by Fairies Pyjamas if you are looking for something unique and especially if you love fairies like we do ;)

They are there all this afternoon and tonight and then all tomorrow so be sure to stop by. Tell them Tina and Angel send you and you saw it on her blog or twitter or FB...where ever!!

Get Down There!! Don't miss out. You can go down to the beach and have a nice picnic and watch the sunset and you can still hear all the music. It's really lovely. Ride your bike along the new Jericho /Point Grey bus pass, it's awesome. Love it so much!!

Have a GREAT TIME EVERYONE!!

This year I was super blessed and visited Oaxaca for Dia de Los Muertos. You can read more about this wonderful Mexican traditon on my Adventurez in Mexico Blog http://adventurezinmexico.blogspot.mx/
and Zipolita'z Videoz http://zipolitazvideoz.blogspot.mx/

 an my Youtube Channel

Still recovering from a fall last week. http://adventurezinmexico.blogspot.mx/2012/10/hurt-my-wristouch.html Tumbled down a rocky little path to Ohm Playa at Shambhala. I thought I broke my wrist, it bent completely backwards. Luckily just badly sprained. Still I'm over using it. I sewed the dresses for the Catrina costumes by hand and used it just lots for carrying luggage, backpacks and too much typing, so I can't type much more, or it gets terribly messy.

Okay take care, hope you can visit Dia de Los Muertos yourself one day! It's deeply moving and a profound experience.

Help Shambhala Vision Raise $2000-

Blog post by Tina Winterlik © 2012

I have copied this from the Shambhala Vision Facebook page. Please visit it and see the photos of the devastation  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.263100920460652.47568.250304258406985&type=1 for yourself. They are trying to raise $2000. Every little bit helps. PLEASE HELP!

Shambhala- devastated by Hurricane Carlotta. Please Help!!

Dear friends! Shambhala is soggy and and battered, but recovering slowly. Power, water and cellular service have been restored, and we've just had our first 24hrs without rain. We are cleaning and repairing as best we can. Every square foot of Shambhala inside and out was covered with crud, and everything got wet. Two cabanas were completely destroyed, and most of the other roofs have problems and are leaking. almost all the mattrasses are damp, and there are mountains of laundry to do, but it is difficult with the rain. Hopefully we have some more sun so we can dry things out a bit, but the rain never goes away for long.

To the people who have forwarded us money, thank you!! We have raised 4000 pesos so far and that money is going directly into relief efforts. We've bought nails, hinges, and other hardware, cleaning supplies, and some much-needed groceries to provide decent nutrition to the workers, friends and volunteers who are here rebuilding Shambhala. Some Shambhala workers have also lost homes in this storm, they need to be paid.

We are still in serious need of help. Most of all we need building and roofing materials -- tiles, laminate, palm fronds, etc. and tarps. The longer we go without proper roofing, the worse the damage gets. And the electric bill is due. If you are planning to visit Shambhala in the future, to stay or even just for a meal, we would be grateful if you would forward us payment in advance. The current need is great. Any amount you provide will be put to immediate use aiding recovery. Of course if you simply feel moved to help us, we would be very grateful.

With all of the Shambhala familia, far and wide, pulling together we will get through this. Thank you everyone for your support and well-wishes. Keeps sending positive energy! Love to you all..

Any funds you contribute now can be applied to a future visit, with a paypal receipt.
