I saw a disturbing post about the world being on the brink of nuclear war and Nazi's in the streets....sound familiar...only this wasn't in the past ...it's right now...this weekend.
STOP!! Right now....
Look at the state of the world and think well about the future you want for yourself, your families and those you love.
Do not let history repeat. Practice love. Teach Love! Love yourself, your family, your neighbour, love the differences. Never embrace hate, greed or ignorance or this will be our fate. Watch this film from 1952.. it was made 10 years before I was born. I saw it in grade 5. It was shocking and imprinted deeply...but it would take years before I realized it.
Warning: violence - not suitable for young children or those triggered by violence.

Beatles - All You Need Is Love from SimDo on Vimeo.
The Beatles Lyrics
"All You Need Is Love"
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
There's nothing you can do that can't be done
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy
Nothing you can make that can't be made
No one you can save that can't be saved
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time
It's easy
All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
Nothing you can know that isn't known
Nothing you can see that isn't shown
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be
It's easy
All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
All you need is love (All together, now!)
All you need is love (Everybody!)
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Yee-hai! (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Yesterday (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Oh yeah! (Love is all you need)
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah (Love is all you need)
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah (Love is all you need)

Outside the Museum of Anthropology
We really enjoyed wandering the grounds outside the museum. My daughter enjoyed the inside but as soon as we got outside and she went to the water she commented how lovely and calm it was out there. I saw her totally relax and really just blend into the environment. I imagined what things would have been like 200 , 200 or 20,000 years ago...how different life was then...what will our life be like in the future...I don't know but resting there yesterday with the totem poles and long houses it was really lovely and peaceful. I would like that life. Seeing the tools that were used for fishing and other things I am started to imagine how we can go back...we can be more harmonious...we can..
Here's the other blogpost I did. It's the inside of the museum, check them out after you look at the photos below if you haven't seen them already.

Do You Believe in Angels? For Earthquakes & Hurricanes
Tweet
Blog post by Tina Winterlik © 2011
http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.com
So a few years ago my little girl and I were walking past a yard sale. I didn't really want to stop, but you know how kids are and so we started looking at things. My little girl, Angel, is very talkative and she struck up a conversation with the lady there. When she found out Angel's name she said, "I have a book for you!"
She gave us the book and I've really enjoyed reading it! It's called the BOOK OF ANGELS by Francis Melville. http://www.amazon.com/Book-Angels-Guidance-Comfort-Inspiration/dp/0764154036
I swear the angels have really listened and helped so many times, with little miracles and big. I took that book to Mexico and back and it holds a very special place in my life and heart.
There are two special prayers that I want to share now.
I hope it's okay with you Francis. I really think we need them right now. And the more people to share this prayer the better. So please share, it can not hurt, it can only bring us closer together. Positive energy is what we need.
For Hurricanes
In the name of the all- powerful Creator
I invoke you, great Angel Zamiel,
As the Angel of Hurricanes,
To calm the fury of this terrible storm.
May you divert it from it's path from the most vulnerable places
to blow itself out where few can come to harm
I honor and thank you for hearing my prayer
In the name of the Almighty.
He also states "Your invocation should be addressed to the four winds, starting in the east and working clockwise". Any number of candles may be burned. Visualize the calm of the storm and imagine drawing in the winds spiraling around it, calming them until all is still and peaceful.
* Be VERY CAREFUL WITH CANDLES! Never leave them unattended. Watch out for kids and pets.
For Earthquakes
To Angel Suiel
In the name of the Almighty Creator,
Who allows all thing to be,
I invoke you, great Angel Suiel,
As Ruler of Earthquakes,
To provide the means of warning,
Against impending upheaval.
May you ease the birth pangs of Mother Earth,
That she shudder less violently.
May you guide our builders to build more safely.
I honor you and thank you for your mercy.
To invoke Suiel we can light four white candles, symbolizing hope and stability. We can burn a little myrrh.
May the angels watch over us and bless us.

Seaside Summer Celebration of Life, Music and Meditation
Vancouver chapter of YES!+ youth invites you to join in celebrating summer complete with acoustic music, meditation and vegetarian potluck.
Vancouver BC (August 9, 2011) - On Friday August 12, 2011 the Vancouver chapter of YES!+ Canada volunteers have organized a free, blissful and beautiful evening by the beach to celebrate the beauty of summer and life. All are invited to bring their smiles, any musical instruments, blankets, and a vegetarian dish to share in the potluck at English Bay by the ring sculpture on Beach Avenue and Nicola Street, Vancouver at 6:30 pm.
With the success of their recent Stress Free, Violence Free mini flash mob in June, YES!+ wants to keep the momentum of their message of peace, love and joy going throughout the summer. The evening will start with a soothing guided group meditation at 6:30 pm sharp, and the evening will progress with acoustic music, singing and dancing with ancient healing Sanskrit chanting.
Traditionally these gatherings are known as Satsang, coming from the Sanskrit words Sat meaning “True” and Sanga meaning “Company” where individuals would have a spiritual gathering to celebrate, meditate and share knowledge with other like minded individuals. All are invited to bring their friends and family and if possible, a vegetarian dish to share at this blissful drug and alcohol free evening to share joy and peace through music and meditation. For more information please visit the event ”Summer Celebration by the Beach” on Facebook.
