Well somehow I missed this seeing this, but I'm doing my part to share it now. In fact they mention that Social Media can play a part by keeping up to date and sharing this info.

I truly believe Social Media can play a huge role in PEACE, as we can chose to share Loving messages, Thoughts, Images, Videos that promote LOVE and understanding and NOT promote Fear.

Everything below has been taken from the site.

"I Just Love The Tools For Peace Video" (below).

Wow, they should play this everyday at daycares, school, colleges, universities,  and work places and brainwash it into people. Heck they should just put it on a TV channel and play it 24hrs a day.

World Peace Festival

Conflict is a necessary part of daily life, and we all have to deal with it. The skill lies in HOW we deal with it.

Tools for Peace contains the 'tried and trusted' methods used by wise, experienced people all over the world to transform the conflicts they face into opportunities.

These tools work just as effectively in our families and communities as they do in situations of extreme violence and civil war.

They also work within ourselves, which is where peace begins.

We won Free Tix to the Screening of Dolphin Tale. It was a great movie. We loved it, I laughed and cried so much. It's great family entertainment. It's very touching and has a lot of subtle messages about challenges, environment and family. I highly recommend it. The 3D was awesome. I didn't think I'd like the 3D but it was
REALLY INCREDIBLE! Very Cool Movie!

I have to mention one thing that really drew me in, and made me cry right from the start, the little girl is homeschooled. I just LOVED that!! There's so many great parts in this movie, but I'm not going to spoil it, you have to go see it!!

Special Thanks to Kids Vancouver for the Free Tix.

‘PANGEA’
A Collection of Figurative Works by Vancouver Sculptor James Stewart
VANCOUVER, August 23, 2011 /Vancouver, BC/ ‐

All artists are observers of life, though it’s not every day you encounter an artist who has the official title of “creature supervisor.”  But that is indeed the hat most often worn by Vancouver artist James Stewart, who created the lead character in The Chronicles of Narnia, and was responsible for creating the giant, prawn‐like aliens in District 9.

Stewart’s successful career in the film industry has taken him to over 45 countries spanning four continents. Also an accomplished photographer, he has rigorously documented his travels and the thousands of lives that have touched his. These experiences find their way into his artwork. Most recently, he has returned home to create ‘Pangea,’ a series of beautiful and life‐like bronze sculptures.

Pangea is the term for Earth’s landmass before it shifted to the continents we know today. It refers to a time when everything was together and connected. Stewart’s imagination is fuelled by his interest in other cultures, and his overarching vision with this series, which is that our common roots speak about how we all remain connected. He maintains that connection can be seen clearly, even in our diverse cultures, if our observation is close and careful enough.

Stewart’s work, which is highly realistic and traditional, is also strikingly contemporary in how it is created. He imbues his figures with the subtlety of gesture, which brings them alive. While very familiar with working from a live model, Stewart created these works by referring to the exhaustive photographic records he takes while travelling. Working in front a large video screen and using multiple images, he re‐creates his experiences in oil‐based clay. He has been compared to a photojournalist who is reporting in 3‐D.
Using the “cire perdue,” or lost wax method, Stewart works with the finest foundry, Artworks, to fabricate the bronze.

This technique dates back to ancient Greece and was used by such renowned artists as Bernini and Rodin. The completed piece is then used to make a mould, which is used in the casting of the bronze artwork. Upon completion of the edition the artist will supervise the destruction of the mould.

Stewart’s incredible eye for detail (the kind most artists dream about) allows the viewer to enter his original
experience. Looking at his sculptures induces an almost voyeuristic feeling. The eye can freely linger over intimate details ‐‐ knock‐kneed legs, poor teeth, wrinkled clothes, etc. ‐‐ in a way that in real life would constitute staring. Here, it’s just close observation, a practice the artist would like to wholeheartedly encourage.

These sculptures, which represent the best techniques of the old and the new worlds, will be on display Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm to 6pm, from September 10th to October 2nd at 5 West Pender Street, Vancouver, Canada.

Have seen Camille Allen's Sculptures? Every new parent or grandparent would LOVE one. They are so adorable and sweet. I first discovered her work about 6 years ago and fell in love immediately.

Camille Allen lives in Powell River, BC, Canada. She learned the art of doll making from her husband's grandmother more than 8 years ago.

She learned how to create life-size dolls from clay,  later she moved on to create the fabulous miniature baby dolls you see here.

They are made from polymer resin. Check out her website to learn more about her beautiful art.  http://www.camilleallen.com/camille_allen.htm

Ave Maria

Blog post by Tina Winterlik © 2011

http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.com

With all the Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Tsunamis, Droughts & Earthquakes, I feel the need for a prayer. I made this video today.

My daughter Angel and I went for a beautiful bike ride yesterday and I took these photos and put them in video.

I was looking for a song, and well this one just felt right. I hope you enjoy it.

I have dedicated it to my parents. Angel never met my dad, and she misses her grandma very much. I miss them both a lot. They have missed a lot but not really because I like to believe that they are watching and helping and so this is for them. So they know how much they are loved and missed.

Have a wonderful day everyone and I'm saying prayers for those of you who are struggling with what ever challenges are in your path.

Keep Positive, Think Good Thoughts, Happy Child-like Thoughts, Innocent and Free the way life should be.

Love and Light, Tina and Angel :)

Red Cross Say "Get Ready Now" if you in the Hurricane path

Blog post by Tina Winterlik © 2011

http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.com

Red Cross Urges Those in the Possible Path of Hurricane Irene to "Get Ready Now"

 http://www.redcross.org/portal/site/en/menuitem.1a019a978f421296e81ec89e43181aa0/?vgnextoid=72db9d31a82f1310VgnVCM10000089f0870aRCRD

Before the hurricane:

Check your emergency supplies and replace or restock as needed.

Your disaster kit should contain items such as gallons of water, non-perishable, easy-to-prepare food and sanitation and personal hygiene items.

More information about what you should include is available on the Red Cross web site.

Create an evacuation plan with members of your household and practice it to cut down on any confusion.

Plan routes to your community’s shelters, register family members with special needs as required.
Make plans for your pets.

If a hurricane is predicted for your area:

Bring items inside that can be picked up by the wind.

Turn your refrigerator and freezer to the coldest settings and keep them closed as much as possible so food will last longer if the power goes out.

Turn off any propane tanks and unplug your small appliances.

Fill your vehicle’s gas tank.

Close windows, doors and hurricane shutters. If you don’t have hurricane shutters, close and board up your windows and doors with plywood.

Listen to local authorities and evacuate if advised to do so. Be careful to avoid flooded roads and washed out bridges.

After a hurricane:

Return home only when officials say it is safe.

Keep away from loose or dangling power lines and report them to the power company.

Stay out of any building that has water around it.

Avoid drinking or preparing food with tap water until you’re sure it’s not contaminated.

Keep your animals under your direct control

To learn more about how to remain safe should Hurricane Irene become a threat, visit www.redcross.org.

Here is the Red Cross Prepareness PDF

Do You Believe in Angels? For Earthquakes & Hurricanes

Blog post by Tina Winterlik © 2011

http://tinawinterlik.blogspot.com

So a few years ago my little girl and I were walking past a yard sale. I didn't really want to stop, but you know how kids are and so we started looking at things. My little girl, Angel, is very talkative and she struck up a conversation with the lady there. When she found out Angel's name she said, "I have a book for you!"

She gave us the book and I've really enjoyed reading it! It's called the BOOK OF ANGELS by Francis Melville.  http://www.amazon.com/Book-Angels-Guidance-Comfort-Inspiration/dp/0764154036

I swear the angels have really listened and helped so many times, with little miracles and big. I took that book to Mexico and back and it holds a very special place in my life and heart.

There are two special prayers that I want to share now.

I hope it's okay with you Francis. I really think we need them right now. And the more people to share this prayer the better.  So please share, it can not hurt, it can only bring us closer together. Positive energy is what we need.

For Hurricanes
In the name of the all- powerful Creator
I invoke you, great Angel Zamiel,
As the Angel of Hurricanes,
To calm the fury of this terrible storm.
May you divert it from it's path from the most vulnerable places
to blow itself out where few can come to harm
I honor and thank you for hearing my prayer
In the name of the Almighty.

He also states "Your invocation should be addressed to the four winds, starting in the east and working clockwise". Any number of candles may be burned. Visualize the calm of the storm and imagine drawing in the winds spiraling around it, calming them until all is still and peaceful.

* Be VERY CAREFUL WITH CANDLES! Never leave them unattended. Watch out for kids and pets.

For Earthquakes
To Angel Suiel

In the name of the Almighty Creator,
Who allows all thing to be,
I invoke you, great Angel Suiel,
As Ruler of Earthquakes,
To provide the means of warning,
Against impending upheaval.
May you ease the birth pangs of Mother Earth,
That she shudder less violently.
May you guide our builders to build more safely.
I honor you and thank you for your mercy.

To invoke Suiel we can light four white candles, symbolizing hope and stability. We can burn a little myrrh.

May the angels watch over us and bless us.

Good bye Jack R.I.P.

Jack Layton- Photo by  Matt Jiggins

I was really shocked this morning to learn of Jack's passing. I had no idea he was so ill and I really feel sad that he's left us and gone onto to better things. He will be dearly missed by many people and I feel really bad for his family. Wow! He fought so hard in the election, and he was AMAZING!

He really kicked butt and of that everyone can be proud. I'm sure that gave him great satisfaction and helped him make the passage easier, it's nice to know you did some Real Good on this earth before you move along.

Poor Jack! May you R.I.P. your obits said you were a really funny guy with a great sense of humor and I figured that. I didn't vote for you because I really wanted to the Green Party to get in but if I hadn't voted Green I was going to vote for you.

Well now Jack, I'm sure you haven't run off just yet. I bet there will be little signs from you, you'll be leaving little messages/signs for people that are open to it. I know you weren't done yet, so that is why I expect these little things. My mom left me lots of little signs.

You were are really good guy and now Canada is really messed up because we don't have you fighting for us Jack. We really needed you. I'm a little scared about what's going to happen. Why oh Why couldn't the Green Party get in.

Anyways Jack if you do have any power from the other side I hope you use it and Kick a Little Butt down  here, and You Know Who I'm Talking about Jack!. We need a leader, not a dictator. So while your Knock Knock Knock in on Heaven's door, please ask Peter to send down some help, because we really need it, ESPECIALLY now that your on a well deserved permanent vacation.

RIP Jack! Say hi to my mom. She would have voted for you!! :)

This is so awful and frustrating. Why? Why is this happening. I feel so helpless. All I can do is share this and enlighten you. Hopefully if we all try to do something, we can Save the Amazon, Save the People, Save the Planet for the Future of our Children.

Please God, we need to stop this. I hope you all say a prayer, because we really need help. This is really really bad. Bad for the Whole World

Gathered in the Kayapo village Piaraçu near banks of the imperiled Xingu River in May 2011, an assembly of 320 indigenous representatives from 18 ethnicities from the Xingu basin and beyond were joined by leaders of the Movimento Xingu Vivo and Amazon Watch to discuss the impending human rights and environmental disaster that is the Belo Monte Dam, and ways for its opponents to forge a single and unified force to resist its construction.

Warren Buffett- Rich Should Pay More Taxes (GREEN)

Oops! Must apologize, I had to re-post this as I spelled Mr. Buffett's name wrong. Hopefully it's all corrected now! Thanks to Big Daddy for catching it for me.

A few weeks ago, I remember reading how this lady played "The Prosperity Game". She had these fake cheques and she would write them out every day and she had all these great reasons about it opens your mind and frees you up on how we think of money. It gets your imagination going and she even claimed that because of it, it actually helped somethings fall into place. Like that by projecting she had all that money, opportunities and money just came together and the house that she projected happened. She was able to buy it.

Now I'm a BIG believer in The Secret and the Law of Attraction. So I tried that little prosperity game but I did it different, for fun. I discovered something, I don't need too much. I mean I dream of winning the lottery like everyone else, but when I actually started trying to figure out what to do with all that money, it wasn't very long before I was giving tons of it away.

What I realized in that game- is I could be SUPER HAPPY AND HAVE EVERYTHING I NEED, for like 1.5 million dollars, and even alot of that I was giving to my family, friends and starting projects helping others.

The game, so you know works like this, on day one you get $1000, but you have to spend it ALL that day. Next day $2000, next day $3000...and so on well by Day 56, I was done, I was like charity, charity, charity.

I sure wish these people with more than they need would spread it around more.

Now what Warren Buffett said yesterday, while I was watching the news on TV, well that made me feel great.  Will people do it?, will the government make them do it?

Will they just go live in another country???

Anyways Warren Buffett said people with over $1,000,000 should be taxed higher. YES!!! I don't know know how people can have so much money and live with themselves, while they see such sadness each day. I know it's very similar to when we travel in Mexico or watching TV and seeing the starving in Africa, but seriously I am in no position to be sharing tons of money, yet I did donate a little money to Red Cross for Africa. I tried to do my share. Do those people making millions, do they do their share?

The world is horribly distorted, people obsessed with clothing, cars and other luxuries, can we ever turn things around, can we ever live more balanced...I just don't know. Of course I dream of that, but I am only one person and trying to encourage everyone to go live in a Woodland house and grow a garden, well not sure how many people I can reach.

But I LOVE this idea of the rich paying more taxes. Spread that wealth around, and make those taxes go to really green things. Solar powered houses and buildings, getting rid of fossil fuels and using other solutions, electric cars and Windmill powered devices. Greening up cities,...I mean literally putting green growing walls on citybuildings and lots of roof top gardens.  Growing tons of green food, edible schoolyards,  healthy food, so we can stop cutting the rainforest for hamburgers and stuff like that. Well you get my point.

Maybe if the Rich knew their money was going for that they would happily pitch in, or maybe they should collectively create their own Rich Green Tax, where they voluntarily throw their excess in the pot to help the world. Of course it's just a dream, but it's a projection and if we project it, we can make it come true.

So I'm asking EVERYONE today to project, project that everyone that has more than a million dollars will start sharing that money and help the world.
