Blogger, Artist, Social Media, Web Designer, Photographer- I blog about nouns-people, places and things, even when it's negative I try to put a positive spin on it. @tinawinterlikfb https://tinawinterlik.blogspot.com
Update: I took this post down because it was acting odd. Makes you wonder why. I am reposting just for a few days...to see happens. I believe there have been some changes....I certainly hope so.
Isn't is absurd that in this day and age adults can be so rude to one another.
What is even more disturbing is these people are making $60,000+ a year - PAID by the taxpayers and they act WORSE than many children.
If children were to be so rude and disrespectful, we would be making great attempts to manage their terrible behaviour, people would look at us, or completely ignore us, our children would get bad grades, be sent to the principals office, offered medication possibly Ritalin or something to manage SHAMEFUL OUTBURSTS that we heard while Elizabeth May was trying to make a very important point.
The point being RESPECT!
SADLY as I heard on the video, there is VERY LITTLE RESPECT in the House of Commons.
HOW DOES ANY WORK GET DONE when people act like that towards one another.
Oh right it doesn't that is why there are so many people suffering in f_king poverty and the climate is totally f_d and these supposed elected people are supposed to fix it...how can we have faith when it feels so hopeless ESPECIALLY WHEN WE HEAR AND SEE BEHAVIOUR LIKE THIS!!
How can any country respect ours if this is the way you work. HOW can we teach our children to respect anyone in government when you ACT LIKE THAT!!!
IT'S 2016, We aren't in the middle ages...no one is getting their head chopped off but you might think we lived in a time like that because the attitude is similar.
IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE. YOU NEED TO CLEAN UP YOUR ACT- OR GET NEW JOBS. GROW UP- Or should we say MATURE UP- because YOU ACT WORSE THAN CHILDREN...worse than animals...shameful..disgusting...you should be VERY VERY ASHAMED!!!
Do you act like that at home. DO YOU TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO ACT LIKE THAT!!
Seriously, do you think you are doing good work when you act in such negative, disrespectful and selfish ways.
BULLYING ISN'T THAT WHAT THIS REALLY IS?
How do we stop children from committing suicide because of bullying when the government is setting an example like this. Seriously, would you treat your mother, sister, family in such a manner. If you do, you need help!!

Potluck
to start off with and the court hearing starts at 2
Court
Court injunctions have been sought by the
company and are in effect until the end of March, meaning they are
extracting 500-800 year old trees from unceded indigenous territory/
public land, and the ancient Rain Forest. They have now made it illegal
for anyone to interfere with their logging operations, meaning "road
blocks" (only they can create roadblocks?)
These court
injunctions however do not prevent people from travelling the logging
roads, currently only accessible from Cowichan Lake and exercising their
rights to camp, to hike the trail system, to participate in
trail-building activities and to protest the logging activities, in
whichever way they choose, remaining mindful that anyone who breaches
the court order in effect in the Walbran valley until March 31st, may be
subject to arrest for contempt of court, not a criminal code offense.
So I was out for a walk today, in between the rain I went out as the sun came out, and I was dressed too warm. I was walking along and I was just so in tune...the first thing that caught my eye was a wasp nest had fallen to the ground. As I went to check it out, my foot squished and slipped in slippery mud on the walk. Yikes...I squealed as I nearly fell. I'm awake now.
And I was, the moss in the grass was so vibrate and green and lush as the sun shone on it. In the roots of the big trees, it had rained so much there was actual puddles, I had never seen that before...and then as I was walking that's when the puddles...jumped out at me and I saw the clouds and had to take these photos.
I have lots of ideas...might paint some or just play with them digitally. Just sharing for now.
Have a nice evening.
During this event organizers from Madii Lii and Skeena Defence will be hosting leaders from the front lines, to hear their stories, as well as playing some great short films including this one.

finally hit 190,000 views and this is quite a jump. I have been working really hard and posted 327 posts last year, this has had a big impact on my rise in views and also I have been tweeting a lot more.
If you noticed I never have ads- I can't help the ones on the Youtube videos but I want you to know I don't have any of the adsense or anything like that. I post what I want, when and where.
So when you read my posts you can relax and not have crap flashing in your face all the time. I hate that. So please enjoy my adfree blog. Remember I do not get paid for my blogging or any of the social media I do. For some I barter but I have no regular gig from it or collect from ads.
I tried the Patreon and Tip Jar and others but they don't seem to work for me, yet...never give up right. And that is the thing about blogging, I blog because I want to share my opinions or things that I think are important with you.
I share things that I believe you will not see on TV and I hope to enlighten you about things going on that you SHOULD know about.
I care about you, and me, and my family, most of all I care about my kid and I want her to have a future, a good future and so blogging is my little way of "Saving the World!!"
Well here's my stats. HURRAY!! I'm averaging about 10,000 views the last few months so all my hard work is finally paying off.

The people have said "no" what part do you not understand?
The Government of Canada has introduced five principles
that will guide its decision-making on major natural resource projects
while the Government undertakes a review of environmental assessment
processes. For two significant projects currently under review by the
National Energy Board (NEB), the Trans Mountain Expansion project and
Energy East Pipeline project, the Government of Canada will immediately
take steps to ensure consistency with these principles. Trans Mountain Expansion Project
The Government of Canada will:
Undertake deeper consultations with Indigenous peoples and provide funding to support participation in these consultations;
Assess the upstream greenhouse gas emissions associated with this project and make this information public; and,
Appoint a Ministerial Representative to engage communities,
including Indigenous communities potentially affected by the project, to
seek their views and report back to the Minister of Natural Resources.
To create space for these measures, the Minister of Natural Resources
intends to seek an extension to the legislated time limit for the
Government’s decision by four months (to seven months in total),
extending the date from August 2016 to December 2016. Energy East Pipeline
The Government of Canada will:
Undertake deeper consultations with Indigenous peoples potentially
affected by the project and provide funding to support these
consultations;
Help facilitate expanded public input into the National Energy Board
review process, including public and community engagement activities.
The Minister of Natural Resources intends to recommend the appointment
of three temporary members to the National Energy Board; and,
Assess the upstream greenhouse gas emissions associated with this project and make this information public.
To create space for these measures, the Minister of Natural Resources
intends to seek an extension to the legislated review time limit by six
months (to 21 months in total) and seek an extension to the legislated
time limit for the Government’s decision by three months (to six months
in total), for an anticipated total of 27 months.
The Minister of Natural Resources will look at all other projects
undergoing an NEB review to determine whether additional measures are
needed to meet the principles.

Shortly after the Exxon Valdez spill- this could be Burrard Inlet - WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Our Beautiful Vancouver- We talk about earthquakes but if there really was a spill or explosions -is it logically to risk millions of life's. Think about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtF-4JvSh8o
I pray there is change because people should not have to go to jail to protect our homes from oil spills and toxic environments. #SaveOurCoast #SaveCanada #StopKinderMorgan

This is KALAMAZOO- WE NEED TO TAKE LESSONS FROM THEM.
IF we are to live this project MUST die. The proof is overwhelming. Elizabeth(see video below) is brilliant and eloquent and it is just common sense. So ridiculous that we must even deal with this at this time in history.
I want to thank my friend for sharing this, what a great find. These old songs are so beautiful and have such powerful messages.
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique
And a swinging hot SPOT
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
‘Til it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
They took all the trees And put them in a tree museum Then they charged the people
A dollar and a half just to see 'em
Don't it always seem to go,
That you don't know what you've got
‘Til it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
Hey farmer, farmer Put away that DDT now
Give me spots on my apples But LEAVE me the birds and the bees Please!
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
‘Til its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
Late last night
I heard the screen door slam
And a big yellow taxi
Come and took away my old man
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
‘Til it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
I said Don't it always seem to go That you don't know what you've got ‘Til it's gone They paved paradise And put up a parking lot

Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Devastated Killer Whales
"It’s been 26 years since the Exxon Valdez supertanker
slammed into a reef, releasing nearly 11 million gallons of crude oil
and destroying hundreds of thousands of animals, from sea otters to bald
eagles, in and around Alaska’s Prince William Sound"

APRIL 2015 BURRARD INLET THIS MUST NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!!
Burrard Inlet- April 2015
Vancouver city officials posted a boater and
watercraft alert on Twitter early Thursday, saying that the spill is
“bunker fuel” and that it is toxic. They are warning people not to touch
the fuel.
Bunker fuel is a type of liquid fuel used on ships
which is fractionally distilled from crude oil. It is extremely crude
and highly polluting.
Elizabeth raises her hands to Thank the First Nations taking a stand to protect OUR home.
BURNABY, BC — In the final argument phase of the National Energy Board
hearing in the application from Trans Mountain to expand the Kinder
Morgan pipeline from Alberta to the lower mainland of British Columbia,
Elizabeth May, MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands and Leader of the Green Party
of Canada catalogued the many failures of the process. Critical to her
argument is that the lack of cross-examination meant that the evidence
presented by Trans Mountain is unreliable and untested. http://elizabethmaymp.ca/may-to-neb-kinder-morgan-expansion-fails-public-interest-test/
PLEASE INFORM YOURSELF-LISTEN TO THIS VIDEO
My notes from Video: -Elizabeth printed the entire 23,000 pages, took out the irrelevant pages, -Conclusion- TransMountain set out to intimidate anyone from challenging it. -Trans Mountain reject many areas as low risk -Claimed Oil spills are low likelihood? -Claimed higher change of Avian flu will happen??? or that there'd be a threat to Milk production- milk cows very curious?? -What?? WTF??? -Where is credibility and experts -UNPRECEDENTED- NO CROSS EXAMINATIONS -NEB not qualified in anyway -Timelines- -Procedural Fairness -Lack of Oral of Cross Examination -Essence of Cross Examination to have Evidence Tested and Facts Examined TransMountain had -HUGE LEVEL OF DISCONNECT -ENORMOUS FLAW IN PROCESS Example: IN A TEST- DIDN'T HAVE A RULER BIG ENOUGH TO COVER SPILL -IT WAS SUGGESTED TO REDO THE STUDIES
TransMountain appears not to have reviewed the material in it's own application Tankers are not their responsibility??? CREATED SALT WATER for test -SAID IT WAS SAME AS BURRARD INLET WATER Did NOT know the risks???
Said we could never have spill because all the technology would prevent it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kalamazoo DISASTER-81% of SPILL occurred AFTER THE ALARMS WENT OFF. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalamazoo_River_oil_spill
The Kalamazoo River oil spill occurred in July 2010 when a pipeline operated by Enbridge (Line 6B) burst and flowed into Talmadge Creek,
a tributary of the Kalamazoo River. A six-foot break in the pipeline
resulted in the largest inland oil spill, and one of the costliest
spills in U.S. history. The pipeline carries diluted bitumen (dilbit), a heavy crude oil from Canada's Athabasca oil sands to the United States. Following the spill, the volatile hydrocarbon diluents evaporated, leaving the heavier bitumen to sink in the water column.
Thirty-five miles of the Kalamazoo River were closed for clean-up until
June 2012, when portions of the river were re-opened. On March 14, 2013
the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ordered Enbridge to return to dredge portions of the river to remove submerged oil and oil-contaminated sediment.
On Sunday, July 25, 2010, at about 5:58 p.m. EDT, a 40-foot pipe segment
in Line 6B, located approximately 0.6 of a mile downstream of the
Marshall, Michigan pump station, ruptured.[1] The rupture in the Enbridge Energy pipeline caused a 1,100,000 US gallons (4,200 m3) spill of diluted bitumen or heavy crude oil originating from Canada (Alberta and Saskatchewan) into Talmadge Creek in Calhoun County, Michigan, which flows into the Kalamazoo River. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) later estimated the spill to be in excess of 1 million US gallons (3,800 m3) [clarification needed].[2]
On 29 July 2010, the Calhoun County Health Department asked 30 to 50
households to evacuate, and twice as many were advised not to drink
their water.[3]

Though alarms sounded in Enbridge's Edmonton
headquarters at the time of the rupture, it was eighteen hours before a
Michigan utilities employee reported oil spilling and the pipeline
company learned of the spill. Meanwhile, pipeline operators had thought
the alarms were possibly caused by a bubble in the pipeline and, while
for some time it was shut down, they also increased pressure for periods
of hours to try to clear the possible blockage, spilling more oil.[4]

Profound misunderstanding of First Nations rights.
Inappropriate to not include Climate Change in the environmental assessment. In the US they made greenhouse gas emission the issue and they turned down Keystone.
Vancouver fire rescue officials, who are working with the city and
the Canadian Coast Guard to clean up the spill, say about one tonne of
oil has already been recovered. Spill BC is also towing a 1,000-foot
boom to collect oil.
